What is NGSprint?
NGSprint is a hackathon - an intensive collaborative problem-solving event - in which small teams (5-8 people) work on the analysis and interpretation of real-life bioinformatics datasets. Our hackathon will feature several topics, each of which will be moderated by dedicated mentor(s), and accompanied by lectures given by experts working in the related field.

BioHack2022 is a community building event that is focused on showcasing African bioinformatics talent by encouraging participants to use their skills to solve 1 out of 3 problem statements in a 4-week long hackathon.

The focus of this event is on the bioinformatics sector due to the growing trend towards ‘TECHBIO’, where computational tools are needed to make sense of the large amounts of complex biological data being generated in the lab.
