Example 2: Velocity and Acceleration of an Object moving in 3D - 3Speak - YouTube - Summary - Notes - Playlist - Vector Functions playlist

In this video, I go over an example of obtaining and graphing the velocity and acceleration vectors of an object moving in 3D whose position vector is known. This follows from my earlier video in which I showed that the velocity of an object is just the derivative of its position vector, and likewise, the acceleration is the derivative of the velocity vector โ€” hence the second derivative of the position vector. The speed of the moving object is obtained just by the magnitude or length of the velocity vector, which we can calculate using the distance formula in 3 dimensions.

RARE Steven Krivit Interview with Martin Fleischmann discussing Cold Fusion (2003) - 3Speak - YouTube - Hutchison Effect playlist (Hive) - Free Energy playlist In this video, I have uploaded a rare August 24, 2003 interview by New Energy Times founder Stevenโ€ฆ
In Charles G. Beaudette's 2002 book Excess Heat โ€“ Why Cold Fusion Research Prevailed (MES Local PDF), he writes about the Martin Fleischmann and Stanley Pons' hole-in-the-floor palladium experiment. Although the experiment was running for several months, it wasn't until Pons increased the applied current from 0.75 amperes to 1.5 amperes, then sent his son Joey to turn off the current at the end of the day, and they left for the night. The next morning, Joey entered the lab and found the experiment in shambles. Much of the palladium fused (melting point 1,554ยฐC), part of it vapourized, and the fume cupboard housing the experiment was destroyed. Ponsโ€™ graduate student, Kevin Ashley, said the lab was a mess, there was "particulate dust in the air", the experiment made a 1-foot hole in the very hard bench top and made a 4-inch-deep pit in the concrete floor! ๐Ÿคฏ

Interestingly, the foreword for the book was written and signed by the author of 2001 Space Odyssey, Arthur C. Clarke! ๐Ÿคฏ
