Friends, if you are already using private keys on the blockchain anyway, check out our new feature — file encryption.
Now you can encrypt absolutely ANY file knowing only the recipient's crypto address (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, TON, Tron).
How does it work?
You drop a file into Mitilena and enter your friend's BTC or ETH address. Our system encrypts your file (AES-256-GCM + ECDH) directly in your browser or app. The file never leaves your device.
ONLY the owner of that exact crypto address will be able to open this file. To decrypt it, they will need their wallet's private key (or our NFC card if they use Mitilena Wallet).
No registrations. No passwords to share via a secondary channel. Just the wallet address.

Friends,
Our new iOS app version has finally been approved! We haven't had an update there for 1.5 months, but it's available to download right now.
Now, some news regarding the cards: we’ve implemented encrypted authentication between the card and the app (already live on Android). Since our card is an original DESFire EV3, it natively supports bank-level security authentication right out of the box.
We aren't exactly huge fans of this feature because it sacrifices some versatility for the sake of mythical security. However, if this is important to you, you can now toggle it on in the settings. Once enabled, no one will be able to read your card on a software level without the password.
In short, the card supports EAL5+ and AES keys.
And to be clear, the card still doesn't perform any weird internal computations with your private key — it remains purely a secure data carrier.

🚀 BIG UPDATE: Sound Wave Transactions are now LIVE!
We are excited to announce a major new feature for Mitilena Wallet: Data transmission via Sound Waves! 🔊 Now you can sign crypto transactions with ZERO internet, no cables, and no USB drives.
You can take any old smartphone, turn on Airplane mode, and make it a 100% offline hardware wallet (Mitilena Air). To send crypto, your online phone plays a sound. Your offline phone hears it, signs the transaction, and plays a sound back. It is completely safe from hackers!
👇 Watch the new feature in action:
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/GXVJUihoPsY
You can also use the Mitilena Air app on your main phone. Google Play verified that the app has no internet access. To make sure you never lose your private keys, you can back them up on NFC cards or small NFC stickers. Put these stickers on your furniture or give them to your family!
Available on Android now — coming to iPhone within a week!

Dear friends, a quick security reminder:
Any website using Cloudflare is essentially running a dangerous Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) chain. Your encrypted data packets are DECRYPTED on their servers. They are analyzed! Yes, literally analyzed (passwords, logins, cookies, private messages). Only after that are they repackaged and forwarded to their final destination.
Remember how Google Chrome spent years warning you about sites without a "security certificate" being unsafe? Cloudflare is effectively a step back in time. You've been returned to the era of "unsecured websites."
The green padlock in your browser is deceiving — it only guarantees encryption up to Cloudflare's servers. Effectively, true End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) is broken. You are forced to trust a giant corporation that has technical access to all your passwords, cookies, and personal data in plain text.
The exact same applies to AWS, Azure, Akamai, and several other major proxy services.

Sending crypto but not 100% sure about the address?
Now, as soon as you paste an address into the "To" field, you'll see whether that address is even active, its balance, and the number of transactions on it.
This way you can be more confident you've got the right address. Live on web now.
Coming to Android, macOS and Linux within 24 hours; iOS within 5 days. Windows availability is still an open question — we're on it.

Finally, friends, a new build for Windows is out.
As I already said, the "encrypted flash drive with a super HSM Yubikey chip" did what it was supposed to do, successfully dying in less than 2 years in the pocket of a laptop bag, taking the private key with it forever.
It runs on the same chips as hardware wallets that hide the private key from the user. My condolences to those who lost their bitcoins in this way.
In general, the application had to be signed using another no less exotic method, it is signed and already available for download through the web version of the wallet. Everyone who has not updated for a long time - update. This is a portable version. You turn off the wallet, copy the new .exe on top with an overwrite, all data is saved.

Base support
Mitilena now supports Base. Base is essentially a copy of Ethereum running as a second layer on top of it — an L2. It has the same main token, ETH, except it's the Base version of it: a mirror of the original living on the Base chain. Network fees are paid in that mirrored ETH, and a transaction takes about two seconds on average.
We added Base because a large share of USDC transfers now moves through it. Addresses carry over one to one — the same private key produces the same address on Ethereum and on Base — so your existing Ethereum address is already your Base address. There is nothing new to generate and nothing extra to back up.

Option #4: Seed Phrase Import is Live in the Mitilena wallet!
Restore or migrate your wallet easily with the new "I have a seed phrase" option at startup.
🔥 Universal Import: Works with standard BIP39 phrases (12, 18, 24 words) and any custom text backups.
⚠️ Smart Warnings: The app notifies you if a phrase is "Nonstandard", keeping you informed about derived addresses.
⚙️ Custom Derivation Paths: Derivation paths vary across the crypto industry, so we give you full control. Adjust paths manually or use built-in templates like MetaMask, Ledger Live, Ledger Legacy, True (BIP44), as well as Native SegWit, SegWit, and Legacy. The app generates up to 30 addresses at once — browse the list and add them individually or in batches.
🔒 Local & Secure: Your keys never leave your device. 100% non-custodial, zero KYC, no trackers.
The update is already live on the web and will be available in the apps within 3 days. Test it out! 👇

We wrote the text in this picture a long time ago.
Back then, Ledger hadn’t yet been hacked the way it was just a few days ago.
Still, the entire model behind these wallets was always dead obvious. If you leave your wallet at a train station and it hasn't been stolen yet, it’s stupid to think it won’t be gone in 20 minutes.
It’s the exact same thing here. You have to understand that most of these "hardware" wallets aren’t wallets in the real sense — where only you can reach inside and pull out crisp bills. They are MICROCOMPUTERS. THEY RUN HUNDREDS OF OPERATIONS BEHIND YOUR BACK.
Imagine opening your leather wallet and seeing your money moving around on its own—with its own control nodes, little gnome managers, and so on. It would feel insane to watch. You would instantly feel a complete loss of control over your own money.
Mitilena — or rather, its cards — is simply a vault. You can run it through standard NFC Tools, and YOU PERSONALLY encrypt your data. You are your own encryptor.
