Hebrew Channel 12: “Israel” awakens to a morning of political deadlock. We could not have imagined such complicated results, which will plunge “Israel” into such a deep political spiral.

Netanyahu leads the ranking of the major parties, as well as that of the broader Zionist bloc, but, as we can see now, he is unable to secure the coveted 61-seat majority. To form a government, he will most likely need to attract more than just one or two members of the Knesset from the Change Bloc; he will need to bring over at least an entire party.

Where does the Change Bloc’s dilemma lie? Why doesn’t it form a national unity government under these circumstances? The reason is the Change Bloc’s lack of trust in Netanyahu. Therefore, the leaders of the Change Bloc will most likely try to manage matters together and make decisions accordingly.

Hebrew Channel 12 – Amit Segal:

The historic Arab vote, at rates that will require in-depth analysis later, has shattered both camps’ hopes of securing 61 seats. It has reminded Jews in both camps that, despite everything, they may have to learn to sit together after years of division.

Hebrew Channel 12:

Netanyahu’s current plan:

– Focus on delegitimizing reliance on the Arab parties (this has already begun in full force).

– Attempt to dismantle the Change Bloc – Bennett is the first target.

– If that fails, hold new elections under more favorable conditions.

Statement by Hujjat Al-Islam wal-Muslimin, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem, on Hezbollah’s position regarding political developments in Lebanon and the region:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

To our sacrificing and honorable people and nation,

The Resistance emerged in our region because of the “Israeli” occupation, backed by the tyrants of the world, foremost among them America. Since its establishment in 1982, Hezbollah in Lebanon has continued this Resistance, alongside all honorable people in Lebanon and the region, to confront the occupation and liberate the land and its people.

All the wars instigated by this Zionist enemy under flimsy pretexts are expansionist wars aimed at establishing Greater “Israel”. The agreements concluded between it and those it attacked, along with their countries and lands, such as Madrid and Oslo, were nothing more than stages intended to consolidate what it had occupied while awaiting a new phase and another war. That is why it has never honored any agreement. Without American and Western support, it would not have been able to consolidate its occupation, let alone expand it. This support has led to genocidal crimes against the steadfast and resisting Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, and all of Palestine. However, the steadfastness of this people in confronting the occupation and the arrogance of the powers supporting it will ensure that Jerusalem [occupied Al-Quds] and Palestine remain for their people, God willing.

It is true that the cost of Resistance is high, but surrender and concessions leave nothing behind. In Lebanon, without the Resistance, the sacrifices of our people and our families, the offering of noble martyrs foremost among them the Master of the Ummah's Martyrs, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan (may he rest in peace), Sayyed Al-Hashimi, the wounded and captives, and the bearing of the burdens of displacement and the destruction of homes and crops, without this great steadfastness, the “Israeli” enemy would have begun establishing settlements and would have taken control of all of Lebanon politically, administratively, and territorially. It would not have stopped at the point it has reached today.

Our steadfastness and the continuation of our Resistance are our only path to liberating all our land, even if it takes time.

As for the situation on the enemy’s side, it is marked by failure to achieve its objectives, internal confusion, and political, economic, and social crises, among other problems. Their consequences are gradually becoming apparent and are affecting the enemy’s future performance. The results of the “Israeli” elections are one manifestation of defeat.

As for tyrannical America, its situation is no better. Iran and its great people have stood firm. They have offered martyrs, foremost among them the dearest Sayyed, the leader of their path and the path of the Ummah, Imam Khamenei (may God sanctify his soul), along with his family, leaders, and ordinary people. Yet Iran thwarted America’s and “Israel’s” objectives of overthrowing the Islamic system and dividing the country. It has become clear that America cannot take control of Iran, while America itself is experiencing confusion in its political decisions, facing a severe economic crisis, and losing its global standing. It is preparing to leave the region. All of this is thanks to the steadfastness of the great Iranian people and the wise and courageous leadership of Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei (may his shadow endure).

In light of the current developments in Lebanon and the region, we affirm the following:

1. The Resistance will continue, grounded in the legitimacy of the right to resist and the protections enshrined in the Taif Agreement. It will confront aggression against itself and Lebanon. There is no room for discussion about disarming it as long as the occupation remains and its aggression continues.
❤12
The enemy must withdraw in accordance with the agreement of November 27, 2024, and Resolution 1701, and the Lebanese army must deploy south of the Litani River.

2. The framework agreement has no legitimacy because it violates the Constitution, the Taif Agreement, the laws, the presidential inaugural address, and the government’s statement. It is therefore effectively nonexistent. This agreement grants the enemy what it has no right to, relinquishes Lebanon’s sources of strength, and relies on provoking strife and undermining the country.

3. We are concerned with the Iran–America agreement because it is the only available source of strength alongside the steadfastness of the Resistance, our people, and its supporters. The agreement has already demonstrated its effectiveness, as the issuance of the Memorandum of Understanding alone led to a reduction in the level of aggression against Lebanon. The Islamic Republic of Iran places an end to “Israeli” aggression against Lebanon and withdrawal from its territory at the top of its priorities. This is a great sacrifice that we appreciate from an icon of free people around the world.

4. We are not concerned with who governs the usurping “Israeli” entity. However, whoever does so must understand that it will not be able to continue its occupation and must leave our land.

5. An end must be put to American tutelage and its control over certain levers of the state. Tutelage is like occupation; both violate sovereignty.

6. We salute the remarkable solidarity of our people and all honorable citizens of our country in standing with the Resistance. We reaffirm the pledge we made under the slogan “A Promise and a Commitment”: we will remain together to provide shelter, carry out repairs, and rebuild, using our own resources and efforts, while working for the Lebanese state to fulfill its duties and for brotherly and friendly countries to provide assistance.

7. We are committed to national unity and are prepared to do everything possible to bridge divisions and unify positions. However, we want actions from others that practically confirm their commitment to this conviction of unity.

8. We reassure you that relations remain strong between Hezbollah, the Amal Movement, and the allied forces that support the Resistance. These relations are grounded in Lebanon’s sovereignty, the importance of the national army and support for it, rejection of strife in all its forms, and dialogue and understanding with all components of the Lebanese people and the authorities, within the framework of the established principles of sovereignty and the Constitution.

The Almighty says: “...Indeed, Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.” [Holy Qur’an; 22:40].
