M+ Global Market Update – 26Oct26
Fed Decision, Big Tech Earnings in Focus This Week
US: Following Brent crude’s surge above USD117/bbl on Friday amid Houthi attacks in Saudi Arabia, we expect cautious trading ahead of the Fed’s policy decision early Thursday, Malaysian time. Rates are widely expected to remain unchanged, with investors watching for signals on a potential December hike. Attention will also turn to results from Alphabet, Microsoft and Amazon, particularly their AI capex guidance. Stock-wise, we favour Palo Alto Networks (PANW), supported by an Evercore ISI survey indicating firmer cybersecurity budgets. Fortinet (FTNT) could also benefit from sustained security spending amid concerns over software vulnerabilities and AI-powered cyberattacks.
MY: Following the surge in oil prices, we expect the FBM KLCI to start the week on a softer note, although oil- and chemical-related counters such as DIALOG, PCHEM and TMK may attract trading interest. Glove makers HARTA, SUPERMX, KOSSAN and TOPGLOV could also draw interest if customers bring forward orders ahead of potential selling-price increases, although higher input costs remain a consideration. Separately, we issued our non-rated IPO note on power infrastructure engineering solutions provider SKACAP, with a fair value of RM0.66, implying 53.5% upside from its IPO price of RM0.43.
Stocks to watch:
Banking: *AMBANK*, *MAYBANK*
Technology: *INFOM*, *KESM*, *OGX*
Industrial: PGLOBAL, SUM
Consumer: *SORENTO*
Utilities: *GASMSIA*

M+ Global Market Update – 27Oct26
Anthropic IPO Filing Lifts AI and Tech Sentiment
US: Easing oil prices and Anthropic’s IPO filing may extend Wall Street’s rebound, although Wednesday’s FOMC decision and megacap earnings could cap gains. Stock-wise, we favour Zoom, whose Anthropic stake carried a reported value of USD3.13bn at end-July, against roughly USD97m invested. The IPO could catalyse a reassessment of its value. Meanwhile, Palantir may attract positioning ahead of its 2-Nov results, following target-price increases to a range of USD225-231 by Deutsche Bank and Piper Sandler, respectively. Anthropic’s multiyear compute commitments of at least USD114.5bn to Google and USD110bn to Amazon reinforce the cloud demand outlook for Alphabet and Amazon, both reporting this week.
MY: Following Wall Street’s rebound and improved AI sentiment after Anthropic’s IPO filing, we expect the FBM KLCI to recover today, with technology counters attracting interest. We continue to like INFOM, supported by (i) its RM614.2m order book following Malaysian and Japanese contract wins, (ii) regional growth opportunities through its Broadcom mainframe software distribution and support appointment across 12 Asia-Pacific markets, and (iii) stronger 1QFY27 results. We also favour selected glove counters with its recent price momentum. Lastly, power infrastructure engineering solutions provider SKACAP (M+ TP: RM 0.66) closes its IPO applications at 5pm today.

Good Morning All,
📰 Newsbreak
📍SKA Capital Berhad (SKACAP) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, SKA Rekabina Sdn Bhd, has on 23 Oct 2026 accepted a letter of award (LOA) from Ibrahim & Sons Engineering Sdn Bhd (Ibrahim & Sons) for 6 contracts awarded by TNB to Ibrahim & Sons as the main contractor, with an aggregate contract sum of RM89.3m (inclusive of SST). The projects comprise (i) installation, testing and commissioning of 11kV and 33kV underground cables and related accessories, (ii) construction of 33/11kV main distribution substations in Kuantan, Pahang and Chendering, Terengganu, and (iii) underground cable laying and jointing works for TNB’s distribution network in Selangor, with completion expected within 18 months from commencement.
📍Progress payments comprise 90% of approved progress claims, payable within 30 days after invoice verification, while the 10% retention sum will be released upon completion of all works. SKA Rekabina is required to provide performance security of 5% of the respective TNB contract prices within 28 days, while the defects liability period stands at 365 days from completion.

📍 We are positive on the award, which lifts SKACAP’s outstanding order book by 28.5% to RM402.7m from RM313.4m as at 21 Sept 2026, representing ~2.8x of its 3-year average revenue of RM145.9m and ~1.7x of FY25 revenue. This package also further reinforces the Group’s pivot into underground utilities works, its highest-margin segment with a GP margin of 33.3% in 5M FPE26, while the performance security of ~RM4.5m is well covered by the RM21.0m IPO proceeds allocated for performance bonds.
📌 Valuation & Recommendation
📍Forecast. Forecasts remain unchanged, as the award is within our order book replenishment assumption.
📍 Valuations. We maintain our fair value of RM0.66 for SKACAP, indicating a 53.5% upside from the IPO price of RM0.43. The fair value is derived based on a P/E ratio of 16.5x pegged to FY27f EPS of 3.99 sen.

M+ Global Market Update – 28Oct26
Markets Await Fed Decision as AI Rally Resumes
US: With Anthropic’s IPO filing reviving appetite for AI infrastructure stocks, Wall Street could remain supported, although trading may turn cautious ahead of the FOMC decision early Thursday morning, Malaysian time. Investors will watch for December rate hike cues. Stock-wise, we favour Astera Labs (ALAB) for its AI connectivity exposure, as AMD’s partnership with Meta, including initial Helios rack-scale system testing, highlights continued AI infrastructure investment. Meanwhile, Fortinet (FTNT) and Palo Alto Networks (PANW) remain on our radar as AI-driven cyber threats could boost security spending. Traders could also watch Illumina (ILMN) ahead of results on 29 October, after the US market closes.
MY: Tracking Wall Street’s overnight gains, we expect the FBM KLCI to extend its advance today. Stock-wise, traders could consider WPRTS, supported by resilient container throughput, expectations of stronger fourth-quarter volumes and the scheduled 5% tariff increase from January 2027. ECOWLD also remains on our radar after sales reached approximately RM5.1bn, exceeding its RM4bn FY26 target. Sales had already surpassed the target before the RM1.01bn land sale to Tera Data Centers provided a further boost. Its industrial development pipeline and build-to-lease data centre projects could support longer-term earnings growth, with the latter backed by its existing RM1.88bn financing programme.

M+ Global Market Update – 29Oct26
Tech Mixed as Alphabet Misses, Microsoft Beats
US: Following the Fed’s decision to hold rates, with Chair Warsh providing no clear signal on December’s move, we expect mixed trading as investors weigh Alphabet’s disappointing 3Q26 results and negative free cash flow against Microsoft’s Azure-led earnings beat. Stock-wise, we favour Marvell Technology (MRVL), which is reportedly in advanced talks to acquire Lumentum. A potential deal could broaden its optical interconnect capabilities for AI datacentre networking, although its terms and funding remain key considerations. Meanwhile, Veeva Systems (VEEV) remains on our radar following the announcement of AI tools designed to streamline clinical study setup.
MY: Despite the Fed’s decision to hold rates, Alphabet’s disappointing results and negative free cash flow could weigh on local sentiment, particularly in the Technology sector. Stock-wise, we continue to favour HKB, supported by its RM851m order book, equivalent to approximately 6.8x FY25 revenue. SLVEST’s increased stake of approximately 16.4% could also strengthen HKB’s access to utility and renewable energy opportunities, including high-voltage substation projects. Meanwhile, KEEMING offers related exposure to SLVEST’s project pipeline through its existing RM70m M&E subcontract from SLVEST subsidiary Atlantic Blue for a 99.99MWac solar plant in Bukit Selambau, Kedah.
Stocks to watch:
Construction: *ISF*, *SUNCON*, KEEMING, *GAMUDA*
Technology: CPETECH, *VS*, ICENTS, *EDELTEQ*, QES
Solar: *SLVEST*
Industrial: PGLOBAL

📌 Steady earnings, recovering margins
• Record revenue: RM52.9m (+1.5% YoY/QoQ)
• PATMI: RM15.1m (+8.7% QoQ)
• PATMI margin: 28.6% vs 26.7% in 4QFY26
• Met management’s benchmarks: revenue growth, ~60% GP margin and high-20s PAT margin
📌 Local demand cushions foreign softness
• Local patient revenue: +12.1% YoY to RM16.8m
• Foreign patient revenue: −12.3% YoY to RM28.9m
• China remained the main drag following the full pass-through of SST to patients
📌 Expansion starts delivering
• All six operating centres were PAT positive
• Singapore and KK turned profitable for the first time
• Target revenue-generating centres:
– 2QFY27: Eight — Jakarta BSD and Tuguegarao
– 3QFY27: Nine — Johor Bahru
– 4QFY27: Ten — Bali
📌 Clinical strength and cash support
• ICSI fertilisation rates around 80% across highlighted centres

• China's recovery channels widening: 44 new referral funnels for China patients (including B2B, B2C and B2G) and diversification into new source markets could support a gradual foreign patient recovery.
• Focus shifts to earnings delivery: Watch new-centre profit contributions and whether margins hold as the network expands.

M+ Global Market Update – 30Oct26
Amazon, Alphabet Sell-Off Weighs on Tech
US: Following Alphabet’s sharp sell-off and Amazon’s after-hours decline on softer-than-expected 4Q26 sales guidance, we believe Wall Street could face further selling pressure on Friday, despite annualised 3Q26 GDP growth of 3.4%. Stock-wise, we favour TSMC (TSM) for its leading position in advanced semiconductor manufacturing and packaging. Reported potential CoWoS price increases of up to 20%, if implemented, could support margins. Meanwhile, investors seeking defence exposure could consider RTX (RTX), supported by a record USD340bn backlog and raised FY26 adjusted EPS guidance of USD7.65–7.75. Lastly, Sandisk’s (SNDK) stronger-than-expected results and above-consensus guidance point to continued strength in AI-related storage demand.
MY: Tracking the sell-off in US technology stocks, we expect negative spillover to weigh on local sentiment, particularly in the Technology sector. Stock-wise, we favour GASMSIA, supported by (i) potential cogeneration opportunities as data centre operators explore off-grid power supply, (ii) longer-term gas sales opportunities from potential liberalisation of gas supply to the power sector and more than 8GW of indicative new gas-fired capacity by 2031, and (iii) prospects for earnings recovery as natural gas prices improve. Lastly, we issued our non-rated IPO note today on MYDCD, a provider of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection (MEPF) systems for critical infrastructure.
