The online school "Mezhdunarodnik": applications are open🌍
The online school "Mezhdunarodnik" is open for applications. The project is organized by the Gorchakov Fund in partnership with the Institute of Law and National Security of RANEPA, the Center for Study of Integration Prospects and the ia-centr.ru Information and Analytical Portal of IAC MSU.
👥Who is eligible to participate?
The School will be conducted in an online format. Students of universities in all EAEU countries (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia), as well as in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, studying international relations, global economics, international law, political science and history are invited to participate. The course may be of particular interest to students of regional universities of these countries. Age of participation - from 20 to 26 years.
🎓Participants who attend the classes and complete all assignments will be awarded certificates.
📆Applications deadline is March 20.

UNN International students take part in "Shrovetide - Russian Traditions" programme
A delegation comprising 40 international students of Lobachevsky University representing 10 countries took part in the event that marked the beginning of the Shrovetide week. "Shrovetide - Russian Traditions" educational and entertaining programme was held in the framework of the project "Nizhny Novgorod - Russia’s Youth Capital".
This vibrant and engaging event brought together a large number of students of different nationalities who enthusiastically plunged into the atmosphere of Russian traditions. Students enjoyed taking part in master classes: making amulets, decorating a Shrovetide scarecrow, fortune-telling and playing traditional Shrovetide games. The most popular master class was the pancake making workshop.
According to Emilian Generalov of the UNN International Students Support Office, the students were very happy to take part in this remarkable and cheerful festival. They enjoyed the friendly and warm atmosphere that gave them the feeling of having fun and many new impressions.
The primary goal of the event was to show international students and festival guests Russian hospitality and to introduce them to Russian traditions.

Representatives of Lobachevsky University, REC and Guangdong Union discuss scientific cooperation
A meeting of the representatives of Lobachevsky University, Nizhny Novgorod Research and Education Centre (REC) and Guangdong Union for International Scientific and Technological Cooperation with CIS countries was held on February 28. Taking part in the meeting were Timur Khalitov, Director of the Nizhny Novgorod REC, Advisor to the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region on investment and innovation, Oleg Trofimov, Executive Director of the Nizhny Novgorod REC, Alexander Bedny, UNN Vice-Rector for International Affairs, and Mikhail Shiryaev, UNN Vice-Rector for Innovation. The Chinese side was represented by Xinchao Han, Deputy Director of Guangdong International Technology Union for Cooperation with CIS Countries.
The meeting focused on scientific and educational cooperation, personnel training, development of cooperation in technology and innovation, and mechanisms for Guangdong Union to facilitate communication with partners from the People's Republic of China.
