Announcement: The Future of Nexus

Hello Nexus Community,

This is a message from the founder of Nexus regarding the future of our organization.

We recognize that we haven’t been active for some time. As a leadership team comprised of high school students—many of whom are currently preparing for national matriculation exams—our academic responsibilities have limited our ability to serve the community as promised.
To ensure Nexus continues to grow and fulfill its mission, we have decided to pass the torch to a new generation of visionary, energetic, and capable leaders. We are officially opening applications for the next President and leadership team of Nexus.
The selected candidate will take full ownership and lead Nexus with complete autonomy, free from the intervention of the previous board.

The Selection Process

Due to our current schedules, the board committee will only review materials from the first five candidates who complete and submit the required tasks. Speed and quality are of the essence.

Tasks to Accomplish:

Introduction Video: Create a short video (2–10 minutes) introducing yourself and explaining your motivation for wanting to lead Nexus.
Strategic Plan: Submit a document (maximum 2 pages) outlining your full vision and execution plan for the organization’s future.

We look forward to seeing who will step up to lead the next chapter of Nexus.

Please submit your materials as soon as possible to be considered among the first five candidates.

To everyone who has been a part of Nexus,

I am writing this from the bottom of my heart to say a massive thank you to every single one of you. To everyone who worked with us in leadership, and to every volunteer who gave their time and energy to help Nexus rise—thank you. You are the reason this organization became what it is, and we are so incredibly grateful for your dedication.

We also want to make sure your hard work is properly recognized. If you haven’t received your certificate yet, or if you lost it along the way, please reach out to @Nexusethiopiavolunteerism as soon as possible. Just send over your Nexus ID card, your name, your ID number, and a quick reminder of your position or what you worked on. We will check our records right away and make sure you get your certificate.

Finally, as we transition to this next chapter, we just want to leave you with our deepest gratitude. We hope that everyone will continue to stand hand-in-hand, supporting the new team, and lifting Nexus up to even greater heights.

Thank you for everything. Hands on Nexus.

Note: Please make sure to include all your ID details when you message the account so we can verify and get your certificates to you as quickly as possible.

Despite the massive volume of submissions we've received, we hear you! Based on multiple requests to extend the deadline, we will continue to accept applications for leadership (presidency) candidates until this Monday.

For those who have already submitted: If you feel like your previous application was rushed or wasn't your best work, you are completely welcome to update and resubmit it before the new deadline!

Let’s build our futures together! 🚀

Since day one, Nexus has been driven by a single, powerful mission: to bridge gaps, build skills, and open global doors for the next generation. We have constantly pushed the boundaries of what a driven community can achieve, working tirelessly to empower young minds and create real impact.

Nexus is officially opening its doors for strategic partnerships. 🤝✨

Whether you are an educational institution, a student community, a creative organization, or a visionary leader, we want to team up with you. We believe that what we have built so far is just the beginning, and by combining our networks, tools, and shared passion, we can scale our collective impact to an entirely new level.
