Public update from May Soricelli regarding today’s protest:

TODAY, at 7:30 a.m. many families will be standing in peaceful unison for their freedom of health choices of their children, specifically regarding the mask mandate order in Thompson School District. These families are joined by multitudes across the nation that are passionately charged with the urgent need to defend this freedom which is under serious oppression. This, I’m certain, will be the first of many peaceful actions/demonstrations until this order is removed.

I will be standing with them as a fellow parent, and supporting and defending their freedom as a community leader, to choose what’s best for their child, whether mask or no mask. We will be advocating for a reversal in these mandates on behalf of the children who cannot speak for themselves; because they haven’t been asked, their faces covered, many of them are truly suffering, and their voices silenced.

This week, I witnessed the devastating response of the board of education after many compelling community members pleaded with the board to not enforce the mask mandate. These parents were in the large majority, but their voices were not heard. On behalf of Berthoud families, I presented a last-second petition with over 100 names urging the board to hear their voices. In spite of these things, the motion was passed for the mandate unanimously.

Those opposing this mandate aren’t a group of “selfish right-wing radicals” like they are being accused of. They are bi-partisan parents, teachers, staff, grandparents, and citizens who were compliant last year, but who have watched these children suffer and who cannot sit idly by anymore while government leaders make continued demands on them that they do not have the authority to make.

A group of several hundred concerned individuals held two emergency parent meetings to discuss options for parents whose children cannot wear masks anymore and need a plan for Monday morning when the mandate is enacted.

When I addressed this group, my hope was for these things: 
1. That we remember this is not about COVID or MASKS but in fact a fight for freedom. 
2. Encourage parents to take action to do what is best for each individual family, including exercising their rights to protest or pull their children from school.
3. Remind parents that we win the war with love. I want us to show teachers, principals, staff, and SRO’s that we support their freedoms too and appreciate what they do for our children every day.
4. For the droves of parents who have already made up their mind that this mandate triggers the removal of their child from the school district, we wanted to connect them with the resources they need to move in that direction with their family.

I advise that parents and citizens take these issues up with the decision-makers and avoid protesting at the schools. I believe protests at the schools could cause divisiveness between students, damage student/teacher relationships, and put our SRO's in an unnecessarily challenging position. I also believe it is not fair for parents to take these fights to the school level because I know most of the teachers and staff don’t agree with this order either and they have even less of a voice in the matter.
I have asked parents to work with the schools and staff and create bridges and conversations through this process of protesting the mandates. 

We are in this for the long haul. Elected leaders that impose their will against the public must no longer operate this way. This is the time for Constitution lovers to get involved. If you don’t defend your freedom, then perhaps no one will.

All community members that I have been connected with are committed to respectful, peaceful, gatherings, kind words, and actions toward the staff, other students, the district, and police officers. Anyone outside of the bounds of respectful protesting will not be welcomed or tolerated. We must ignore taunts, threats, and accusations of any kind.

Remember you are not here to fight the opposing viewpoints; in fact, we are just as much here to defend their freedom as well to choose what’s best for their family! This group of parents loves all kids, all teachers, etc. but, we will not allow anyone to decide what is best for our own children. This freight train will not stop until immediate change occurs, children are pulled from the district, or tax funds are allocated back to the parents for their student so they can determine an alternative option that does not compromise their freedom and welfare.
 
We are living in divisive times, so stand resolute in love for all. Those connected with me, I urge you now is the time to stand and fight for freedom, start taking back government seats in your region, and rebuild brick by brick the village, the community where all are accepted, welcomed, and supported. 

I charge you with these things: Put your family first, love your enemies, lock arms with your community for change, and right now BE THE VOICE OF THOSE WHO ARE MASKED AND VOICELESS

Lord, I pray for peace and protection over all as we stand to see things change for your good and your will in our lives and especially the lives of our children. Protect our children, families, teachers, and police officers. In Jesus's mighty name. Amen

Listening to more clarification on the "Pfizer approval" from yesterday - thanks to Dr. Robert Malone.

Key notes. A COVID-19 vaccine has been approved. Which is allowing governments and businesses to push through mandates. However, how it has been announced and how it has been pushed by the news outlets is highly misleading and manipulative.  Here are my cliff notes, this all seems to align with what I gathered reading through all of the information last night:

The approval is NOT for Pfizer. It is for BioNTech, and it only kicks in when the BioNTech Comirnaty vaccine becomes available. The currently circulating Pfizer vaccine is NOT approved, it is still still under an EUA. So if your employer is coersing you into vaccination, hold off until at least the Comirnaty product becomes available.

In addition, even the approval proves that they did not have the appropriate data to push through this approval because they had no evidence of safety or efficacy. (What happens due to this, no one knows yet, but this also matches with what many were reading and finding)

Never the less, a covid vaccine was indeed approved so things are going to get real ugly. Stay guarded. Do not quit. Do not get the vaccine unless you've prayed and have ABSOLUTE peace from God about that decision. If you do not have absolute peace, do not get it. It's that simple. Let them fire you. You'll figure the rest out

In addition, many keep talking about the legal liability and legal protections when taking an "authorized" vaccine vs. an EUA vaccine. I want to clarify this:
- The National Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 gave legal immunity to ALL vaccine manufacturers in the United States. You cannot sue the manufacturers if injured. There is a government fund set up in those situations supplied by the tax revenue off of vaccines, but it is very hard to get anything from that.
- The protection that is being granted with an approved covid vaccine specifically falls on the liability an employer has if they choose to require vaccination as a term of employment. They are unlawfully able to require an EUA vaccine. However, once approved, they are legally able to require an FDA approved vaccine. Once they do so, if you get the vaccine because your employment depended on it, and you are injured in any way, it falls under a work related injury and your employer now becomes fully liable and prosecutable.
