Dear friends,

We encourage you to attend our SIGs to improve yourself in certain areas. So let us give more information about them.

Machine learning SIG is a place where we are trying to create our own ML community. It is the place where we are sharing our knowledge and trying to learn something new. It is open to absolutely everyone regardless of their background and previous experience. We are starting almost from scratch, so, if you think that you do not know enough just give it a try.

Particularly, this semester we are doing mlcourse.ai (you can still catch up). The course covers essential machine learning tools and algorithms, and it is based on the "inverted classroom" paradigm. It means that you have to watch lectures and do assignments on your own, and then we are going to discuss the problems that you faced and do some extra exercises in class. Also, we are using kaggle.com platform to practice our skills and compete with each other.

Schedule: every Monday (today) at 7pm
Venue: 7e.429 (may change)
If you are interested, please join now https://bit.ly/2kqI6uu
Dear friends,

We encourage you to attend our SIGs to improve yourself in certain areas. So let us give more information about them.

ACM Base SIG is a place where we are going to study the very basics of programming on C++. If you are motivated to make your first step to the programming world you are more than welcome to our SIG.

In this semester, we are going to cover loops, conditional statements, arrays, strings and try to solve 80 problems in online judge platform. The format of the course is based on earlier mentioned “inverted classroom” approach which means that you are expected to watch the lectures and try to attempt assigned problems before the session. During sessions we will cover unsolved problems and answer to your questions.

Schedule: every Tuesday (today) at 6 pm
Venue: 7e.220 (may change)

The funniest and most popular - Game Development SIG!

Beginner track. Playing games is always interesting and exciting, especially with friends. But now, we won't only play games, we will learn how to create them with simple framework, Love2D.
Basics of 2D Game Development.

Intensive track. We have a community where those who are fascinated by games learn how to develop them in Unity; we put effort into understanding how video games function, how to optimize them and what makes them desirable and delightful. There are two ways to join us: study or develop video games.

The work we are doing involves self-study, weekly reports and discussions among fellow gamers: head of the SIG presents a list of tasks to complete and skills to develop and recommends video lectures and other study materials that could serve his students in this. There are no mandatory lectures or fixed schedule - members of the SIG self-organize and devote at least 90 minutes a week to studying/developing. By the end of each week, they send one Beginner or (Semi-)Developer document - microscopic report that captures their progress made in the said week. Members of the SIG share their creations and learn from each other. However, seminars and lectures can be requested by members of the SIG

If you have a flair for video games and think there is a fulfillment in crafting that experience, then without regard to your skills and previous experience, we invite you to join us.
