โœจRewriting Your Inner Script: A Journey with Mettaโค๏ธโœจ

In the fast-paced environment of university life, where competition often defines successโ€”whether through bell curves, grades, or the race for internshipsโ€”itโ€™s easy to feel consumed by striving and comparison.

Come sip on bubble tea๐Ÿง‹ and explore how we can navigate these pressures mindfully, balancing ambition with the principles of Dharma. How can we pursue excellence without attachment? How can we cultivate compassion and equanimity in a setting that often pits us against our peers?

By reflecting on the Path, weโ€™ll consider practical ways to reduce craving and suffering while finding deeper meaning and fulfillment in our daily pursuits.

The session will be held on Tuesday, 8th April | 7.15-9pm. Do indicate your preference of drink in this form.๐Ÿง‹๐Ÿง‹๐Ÿซง

Finals season reminder: The lotus blooms not in spite of the mudโ€”but because of it.โœจ๐Ÿ’ช

As you face the challenges ahead, remember that struggle is not a sign of weaknessโ€”itโ€™s part of the growth.

To all students, may this season be not just about grades, but about resilience, mindfulness, and compassion.

Weโ€™re also honoured to share a special message from His Holiness the Dalai Lama, reminding us that true education nurtures both the mind and the heart. Let his words be a guiding light as you move forwardโ€”step by step, breath by breath.

You've trained your mindโ€”now trust it. Youโ€™ve got this.

With Metta,

Exams coming up? The mind's all over the place? Letโ€™s take a pause.

Join us for a meditation night grounded in the Buddhaโ€™s teachingsโ€”where we explore not just how to calm the mind, but why he taught meditation as a path to deep clarity and freedom.

Weโ€™ll unpack key teachings from the Satipatthana Sutta, try out Anapanasati (mindfulness of breathing), and share simple tools to help you stay centeredโ€”not just during meditation, but through the exam stress too.

Come breathe, reset, and reconnect.
Open to allโ€”no experience needed.๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ

The session will be held on Tuesday,  22nd April | 7.15-9pm.

Venue is YIH MPR 5. Do join our telegram for more updates.
