🌿 CIP @ Little Bodhi Student Care Centre

A big thank you to everyone who volunteered and made our Children’s Day CIP a meaningful one!

We managed the game booths and accompanied the children as they enjoyed mini games such as dropping sticks and mini golf. We hope the children had as much fun playing as we did spending time with them!

Sometimes, even the smallest acts of kindness can brighten someone’s day. 🌱

Thank you to all our volunteers for dedicating your time, keeping the programme running smoothly! May we continue to find happiness in giving and creating meaningful moments for others. 🍃

🙈 “Sorry, I’m not free.”
Easy to type. Somehow harder to actually send 😭

Between wanting to be there for people, not wanting to disappoint anyone, and wondering if saying no makes us a “bad friend,” boundaries can get messy fast.

This session is for anyone who’s ever agreed to something while already mentally exhausted 👀 We’ll be exploring how to show up for others without abandoning ourselves in the process, and what healthier friendship can look like when it’s built on honesty rather than obligation.

Come for the discussion, stay for the collective “wait… I do that too” moments 🌿💚

🌿 Thank you to everyone who joined us today!

This session, we explored spiritual friendship (Kalyāṇa Mittatā). 💚 Being a good friend doesn’t mean always saying yes, and learning to say no with kindness is also part of setting healthy boundaries.

Spiritual friendship is not just about finding good companions, but also about becoming one ourselves. By cultivating faith, virtue, generosity and wisdom, we can attract and surround ourselves with good companions who inspire us to grow in the Dhamma. 🌱

May we continue to nurture wholesome friendships and become the kind of spiritual friends we hope to find! 🍃

🌿 Brain got 37 tabs open? Come close a few.

If meditation has ever felt like “sit still and somehow think about nothing,” this session might change your mind 👀
Bro Loh Wei will be guiding us through a practical meditation session drawing from both Buddhist practice and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), with different techniques you can actually experiment with and bring into everyday life.
No need to be good at meditating. No need to have a “peaceful mind.” Just come curious, try something new, and see what clicks for you 🍃

⏰ 7.15–9PM

Open to all NUS students and staff, regardless of faith or prior experience.

Imagine being in MBS, moving from the lowest floor with its casual food court to the highest floor with its luxury shops. It must feel good to explore all the different shops, right? But what if you were stuck in this mall, moving between its different levels, unable to leave and explore the other beautiful parts of Singapore?

Thank you to everyone who joined us today!

In this session, we explored both Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Buddhist meditation. MBSR focuses on managing stress and improving well-being through practices such as mindful breathing and body scan meditation, which help increase awareness of thoughts and emotions. 🌿

For Buddhist meditation, Bro Loh Wei shared how we can use the MBS scenario as a metaphor for Saṃsāra and the different realms of existence. Each level represents a different realm within the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth, while Nirvāṇa represents liberation from this cycle. Through meditation, we learn to recognise our cravings and attachments, cultivate mindfulness in our daily lives, and develop wisdom on the path towards liberation. 🌱

May we continue to practise meditation and mindfulness to deepen our understanding of the Dhamma as we journey towards Nirvāṇa! 💚

💗 Can you love someone deeply… without clinging to them?

Romantic relationships can bring out some of our best qualities, and also some of our messiest ones 👀

We’re especially excited for this session because it’s a new panel-style concept we’re trying at NUSBS ✨

Join us for a candid conversation with two practising Buddhist couples as they talk about love, attachment, intimacy, values, conflict, growth, and what Buddhist practice actually looks like inside a real relationship.

Expect less “perfect relationship advice” and more honest sharing about how two people can care for each other without turning love into control, insecurity, or losing themselves along the way 🌿

There’ll also be a Q&A, so bring the questions you’ve always wanted to ask. We’re very curious to see where the conversation goes too 😭💚

🌿 Thank you to everyone who joined us today! 💗

This session, we explored how Buddhist teachings can guide us in romantic relationships through a heartfelt discussion with two practising Buddhist couples. 💚

Our speakers shared how relationships can be an opportunity for personal growth, where both partners support each other while staying true to their values and Buddhist practice.

May we continue to cultivate love rooted in compassion, wisdom, and understanding, and grow together on the path of the Dhamma! 🍃

A big thank you to our speakers for sharing their experiences and to everyone who came down for the discussion! 💚
