Hey Everyone!
This Friday, we have invited Venerable Jian Xin to share on the topic, โHelping Others Through Buddhismโ.
Venerable Jian Xin pursued Sociology during her undergraduate studies at NUS. She also holds a Masterโs Degree in Buddhist Studies from the University of London, England. Being ordained under the Mahayana tradition, Venerable Jian Xin has made aspirations to walk the Bodhisattva Path since she was 15.
Very often, Buddhists shy away from sharing more about their religion. The teachings of the Buddha have not been encountered by most. Those who have encountered it are embarrassed or are unsure what to share. Therefore, this topic is meant to answer, what then as Buddhists can we do to help others?
The details are as follows:
Venue: Zoom
Time: 1900

See you at the talk!

Hey everyone!
This week, our Dhamma Talks will continue with the topic โBuddha Nature: Are we Buddhas?โ We have invited Venerable Chuan Guan to guide us in the exploration of this exciting topic!
The Buddha Nature, seems to suggest the path of cultivation to be one of self-discovery. To find that inherent goodness within oneself. Yet, as one practises, the Buddha Nature seems to be in contradiction with the Buddhist teaching of non-self... Join us this Friday as we explore further, what is the goal of our cultivation!
Venerable Chuan Guan was ordained under the Mahayana Tradition by Master Miu King. However, he studies the canonical teachings from the Pali Canon. Therefore he often provide views into the various nuances when it comes to Buddhism.

Hey everyone!
This week, our Dhamma Talks will continue with the topic โAttachments: A Taboo in Buddhismโ. We are honoured to have Venerable Chuan Guan share with us for this upcoming session. He was ordained under the Mahayana Tradition by Master Miu King. However, he also studies the canonical teachings from the Pali Canon. Hence, he can often provide an expansive set of views when it comes to Buddhism.
Attachments. This is a word that Buddhists often come across. Our source of unhappiness comes from attachments over certain things, events or people. Yet, most may continue to live on, without doing anything about it. At the same time, there are some who are all too eager to cut away all attachments. How does one understand the nature of these attachments and strive on with their spiritual pursuits? Join us this Friday to find out more:)
