Hey everyone!
This week, our Dhamma Talks will continue with the topic “Attachments: A Taboo in Buddhism”. We are honoured to have Venerable Chuan Guan share with us for this upcoming session. He was ordained under the Mahayana Tradition by Master Miu King. However, he also studies the canonical teachings from the Pali Canon. Hence, he can often provide an expansive set of views when it comes to Buddhism.
Attachments. This is a word that Buddhists often come across. Our source of unhappiness comes from attachments over certain things, events or people. Yet, most may continue to live on, without doing anything about it. At the same time, there are some who are all too eager to cut away all attachments. How does one understand the nature of these attachments and strive on with their spiritual pursuits? Join us this Friday to find out more:)
The details are as follows:
Venue: Zoom
Date: 26th June 2020

Hey everyone!
The Dhamma Talk this Friday will be on the topic, “Forming Views and Opinions in the Digital Age” and we have invited Venerable Chuan Guan to speak on this topic. He was ordained under the Mahayana Tradition by Master Miu King. However, he also studies the canonical teachings from the Pali Canon. Hence, he can often provide an expansive set of views when it comes to Buddhism.
In the Digital Age, we are constantly being exposed to large amounts of information. Ironically, as the world grows increasingly connected, our views serve more to divide than to connect. Amidst these conditions, how does one establish one’s views and opinions? And how much value should be entitlde to these views? These are some of the questions that we are attempting to explore in this upcoming session.
The details are as follows:
Venue: Zoom

Hey everyone!
This week, our Dhamma Talks will continue with the topic “Living without Regrets”. We are honoured to have Venerable Jian Xin share with us for this upcoming session. Venerable Jian Xin pursued Sociology during her undergraduate studies at NUS. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Buddhist Studies from the University of London, England. Being ordained under the Mahayana tradition, Venerable Jian Xin has made aspirations to walk the Bodhisattva Path since she was 15.
Impermanence teaches us, that which arises has to cease inevitably. The unidirectional flow of time often leaves us with big questions of “what if”. With the benefit of hindsight, perhaps we could have done better and our current circumstances will be different. Are we all slaves to antecedent conditions? Are we bound to this feeling of loss and regret? Is this conducive for our cultivation? Join us this Friday as we explore the topic further.
