Ocean Shipyard proudly presents the winners of the Data Storage Initiative!🎊
💰Out of a prize pool of $40K, the rewards were distributed to #MantisDataSolutions, @StartinBlox and @LighthouseWeb3 to build interoperable data storage integrations on Ocean!⚒
✅The $10K “Arweave integration” grant was awarded to #MantisDataSolutions.
The project will enable publishing assets stored in @ArweaveTeam using transaction ID, uploading data to Arweave and publishing it as an asset on the Ocean market.
https://www.mantisdata.solutions/
✅Since Arweave eliminates ongoing storage costs, this integration will drive data publish volume.
✅Building a decentralized backend storage for Ocean is @StartinBlox with $15K that will improve the UX flow for publishers using the Ocean Market.
👀Via Startin’Blox, developers can easily build & deploy applications.

✅The @Filecoin integration on Ocean will be implemented by @LighthouseWeb3
and supported by a grant worth 15K.
⚒Building on Filecoin also allows Lighthouse to provide data availability with minimum copies of data without any waste of resources.

What happens next?👀
🌊All 3 data storage grants are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2022
🌊After the work has been completed, feedback will be collected from the community to define a versatile plugin architecture for additional new backend components.
