Today, the world’s leading companies are data-centric, and currently, up to 90% of a company’s value relies on its data and IP. The key to unlocking this is blockchain technology which allows for secure provenance of data. However, there are barriers to its monetization.

Right now, there is a disconnect between data consumers and providers of data. With the lack of incentive to share, a valuable resource for our knowledge economy is under-utilized. Ocean’s works to allow for the sharing and monetization of data in a privacy-preserving fashion.
