Nor with shade selection, tooth shape, or the final smile photograph.
In a clinically mature approach, veneers begin with a different question:
how much tooth structure can we preserve to achieve an esthetic and long-term predictable result?
Enamel is one of the key prognostic factors. Veneer planning requires not only an artistic eye, but also a precise understanding of biomechanics, preparation design, mock-up, and bonding protocols.
In Stefen Koubi’s book “Ceramic Veneers: 20 Recipes for Smile Design,” esthetics is presented as a system of clinical decisions: from smile analysis to transferring the design project into the patient’s mouth.
This is exactly what Stefen Koubi’s Christmas seminar in Prague will focus on:
“Ceramic Veneers: Smile Architecture and Predictable Esthetics.”
📍 Prague
📆 December 10, 2026
During the seminar, participants will explore:
📌 creating a smile design project and transferring it into clinical practice through a mock-up;
📌 managing patients with pathological tooth wear;
📌 modern materials in prosthodontics and dental laboratory practice: the relevant choices for 2026–2027;
📌 step-by-step protocols for adhesive bonding of veneers — without critical mistakes.

The most costly mistake with veneers begins before preparation
These are the questions at the heart of Stefen Koubi’s Christmas seminar in Prague — dedicated to ceramic veneers as a precise system of clinical decisions.
During the seminar, we will discuss:
🦷 how to create a smile design project and transfer it into clinical practice through a mock-up;
🦷 how to manage patients with pathological tooth wear;
🦷 which materials to choose in prosthodontics and dental laboratory practice in 2026–2027;
🦷 how to build a step-by-step protocol for adhesive bonding of veneers without critical mistakes.

How much enamel should be preserved? Where should space be created for ceramic? How can a smile design be transferred into clinical practice so that the result is not only beautiful, but also predictable?

What might dentists miss when they focus only on teeth?
TMJ disorders, headaches, muscle tension, cervical discomfort, and unstable treatment outcomes are often linked to factors that extend far beyond the dental arches.
Today, understanding the interplay between occlusion, posture, and the musculoskeletal system is becoming an essential part of clinical decision-making.
We invite you to join Mariano Rocabado’s seminar in Budapest, where he will present concepts that have helped dentists and physiotherapists around the world rethink the connection between occlusion, head and neck posture, and TMJ function.

🦷 A fractured instrument in the root canal is not always an indication for immediate removal.
What matters far more is determining which approach will truly improve the tooth’s prognosis: removing the fragment, bypassing it, or avoiding aggressive intervention altogether.
Today, endodontics relies increasingly not on technical skills alone, but on a precise analysis of the clinical situation. CBCT findings, root canal anatomy, the amount of dentin that would need to be removed, the location of the fragment, and the degree of infection beyond it are the factors that ultimately determine both the treatment strategy and the long-term outcome.
🔬 In his research, Yoshi Terauchi proposes viewing fragment retrieval not as an isolated procedure, but as a decision-making algorithm in which the following factors play a key role:
In this carousel, we discuss when an attempt to remove the fragment is truly justified, when bypass is the preferred option, and why, in some cases, leaving the fragment in place may be the most rational decision.
📚 If you would like to approach complex retreatment cases with greater confidence, we invite you to join “Advanced Non-Surgical Retreatment and Fragment Retrieval”, an educational event led by Yoshi Terauchi.

What Determines the Stability of the Gingival Margin After Root Coverage?
When treating gingival recessions in the esthetic zone, it is important to evaluate not only the depth of the defect and the ability to advance the flap coronally.
For long-term stability, the following factors are essential:
🔹 soft tissue thickness;
🔹 width of keratinized tissue;
🔹 flap stability;
🔹 quality of graft fixation;
🔹 tension-free flap closure.
A connective tissue graft should not be used by default. It is indicated when there is a need to improve the biological conditions for healing: to increase tissue thickness, support the gingival margin, and reduce the risk of recurrent apical displacement.
In this post, we discuss when CTG is particularly justified and which factors should be considered before selecting a surgical approach.
📍 On April 5–7, 2027, Giovanni Zucchelli will lead a hands-on course in Istanbul:
“Reconstructive Periodontal and Plastic Surgery of the Soft Tissues in the Esthetic Zone”

🪡 The esthetic zone leaves no room for compromise.
Root coverage procedures, management of a thin phenotype, and soft tissue reconstruction around implants all require meticulous attention to detail. Every millimeter matters — from flap design and graft fixation to the long-term stability of the gingival margin.
We invite you to join Giovanni Zucchelli’s course, where his signature approaches to mucogingival surgery will be explored, including the treatment of single and multiple recessions, the use of CTG, Emdogain® and collagen matrices, as well as soft tissue reconstruction around implants.
A special focus will be placed on hands-on training, surgical video demonstrations, and the discussion of clinical cases.
