🌍 International Students
The new academic year has brought students from Kyrgyzstan and Belarus to SPbPU through the Slavic Universities academic mobility programme. 45 students are studying at Polytech this semester.
🇵🇪 A Visit from Peru
A group of 17 schoolchildren from Peru visited SPbPU to explore the campus, History Museum and educational opportunities for international students.
🚪 Open Doors 2026
The new Open Doors season is underway! Registration is open until 1 November 2026, and SPbPU participates in 11 subject areas of the international competition.
🔬 International Science & Education
SPbPU recently hosted an international nuclear education programme with young scientists and researchers from countries including Indonesia, Tanzania, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Serbia and Vietnam. Participants studied nuclear power plant safety, operation and modelling.

🧡 Tutors are breaking all records for the number of international visitors met!📎 Since late August, volunteers from the Navigation Department have met more than 140 international visitors, including students, university staff, and even the rectorate! Meeting times varied widely: delegations arrived as early as 4 a.m. and as late as 8 p.m.💗 Many students were so grateful to us that they brought souvenirs and snacks from their countries: keychains, cookies, and even figurines! Several students said they wanted to become tutors and are already eagerly awaiting the next school👀 ⭐️ We are incredibly happy to help such a large number of people, but we’re not stopping there🧡

🎪 From Yekaterinburg with Love: WYF 2026 Story
Ever tried to attend 47 events in one day and still make it to a 9 AM lecture? Welcome to the World Youth Festival 2026 in Yekaterinburg — where sleep is a myth and FOMO hits different. 😅
Our friend Bassem Youssef went all in. This wasn't a random trip — it was his #1 goal of the year, complete with competitive selection rounds. And oh boy, was it worth it.
The struggle was real, though. Time management + prioritizing tasks + zero sleep = a crash course in flexibility. Pro tip from Bassem: don't try to attend EVERY session. Focus on networking and those backstage conversations instead.
The result? 10/10. Genuine brotherhood with kindred spirits worldwide, foundations for future partnerships, and a firm plan to come back.

Open Doors changed what I thought was possible 🏆
For Marwan Mohammed Al-Falah, winning the Open Doors Olympiad was the beginning of a new chapter.
He came to SPbPU to pursue his academic ambitions in artificial intelligence. Today, his interests have grown into research, particularly in AI and multi-agent systems.
Moving to another country and adapting to a new education system took time. But step by step, Marwan found his place, gained confidence and began turning his interests into real research.
