This Airbus Flew for 24 Hours Without Landing—Here’s How Much Fuel It Burned: So, Qantas’ Project Sunrise and that insane 24-hour, 24-minute flight from Melbourne to Toulouse in the Airbus A350-1000ULR. It’s pretty wild to think about an airplane staying up for that long. People are asking, and it’s a fair question, exactly how much fuel did this thing guzzle to cover over 23,000 kilometers? We’re talking about an aircraft specifically designed to go the distance, and this test flight pushed it to its absolute limits. Let’s break down the numbers and see what it means for the future of flying.

Not every airline pilot follows the same path.

Michael Miller studied Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Michelle Miller earned a degree in Psychology. Today, the siblings are flying together for Delta Air Lines, operated by Endeavor Air.

Their journey highlights an important lesson for aspiring pilots: building a strong educational foundation can provide valuable skills and a career backup while pursuing your aviation dreams.

Whether your background is engineering, science, psychology, or another field, determination and continuous learning can still lead you to the flight deck.

Dubai Airport’s Growth The Unseen Human Struggle Behind the Numbers : Dubai International Airport (DXB) is a powerhouse in global aviation. It’s the busiest international airport in the world, handling an astonishing amount of passenger traffic. For August, airlines planned for 4.54 million one-way seats, which means almost 9 million round trips. This puts DXB way ahead of places like London Heathrow and Seoul Incheon. But what does it really take to keep this giant machine running? It’s not just about strategic vision and fancy infrastructure. There’s a huge human cost, and it’s important to talk about the people who make it all happen, and the challenges they face

Why the World’s Longest Flight Doesn’t Fly in a Straight Line : Ever looked at a flight path for Singapore Airlines’ ultra-long haul from New York to Singapore and thought, “Wow, that plane is going the wrong way”? It looks like it’s taking a massive detour, looping way up towards the Arctic. But here’s the kicker: that curved path is actually the shortest way to get between those two cities. It all comes down to understanding how we see the world and how planes actually fly.

On July 25th, at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport, two passengers decided that being late for their Aeroflot flight was a problem they’d solve themselves.
Air Travel
Their solution? Running onto the actual airport apron, the super restricted area where planes taxi, get refueled, and are generally moved around. It’s not exactly a pedestrian walkway.

American Airlines 2026: Record Revenue Premium Seats Starlink Wi-Fi & New Routes : If you have flown on American Airlines recently, you might have noticed more focus on premium cabins. The carrier just announced record revenue of 16.7 billion dollars for the second quarter of 2026. This huge financial success shows that people are still willing to pay extra for a better experience in the air. Even with fuel costs rising by billions, the airline is managing to turn a profit while expanding its footprint.

The company confirmed that managed corporate travel revenue jumped 26 percent compared to last year. This is the fifth quarter in a row that this specific area has grown by double digits. American Airlines is clearly relying on people going back to the office and flying for meetings to keep the lights on. I have been watching these trends at Pro Plane Pilot, and this level of growth in the corporate sector is hard to sustain forever.
