Exactly one year ago, on June 12, 2025, a devastating plane crash occurred , Out of the 242 people on board, 241 passengers lost their lives in an instant. In a miraculous twist of fate, only one person survived—Kumar Vishwas Rakesh. But the tragedy wasn't limited to the sky; 19 innocent people on the ground also lost their lives in the impact.


New update  : 

Indian investigators are expected to delay issuing the ‌final report into Air India Flight 171 citing the need to complete an analysis of the plane's engines. 

A preliminary report released last year showed the 787's engine fuel control switches moved almost simultaneously from "RUN" to "CUTOFF," starving both engines of fuel shortly after the flight took off.

Investigators conducted engine testing in April and visited France last month as part of an analysis of the engine management unit.

Under international rules, a final report is due within a year of an accident; when this is not possible, an interim statement should be issued on each anniversary.
