Delhi Police has reportedly moved the court seeking cancellation of Sharjeel Imam’s interim bail.
Imam was granted 7-day interim bail from October 4 to October 10, 2026, to attend his cousins’ weddings.
The matter is before Additional Sessions Judge Sameer Bajpai at Karkardooma Court.
He is scheduled to surrender before jail authorities on the evening of October 10.

यम यमी सूक्त अनित्य इतिहास या नित्य आख्यान?
ऋग्वेद (१०/१०) में यम और उनके बहन यमी का एक शिक्षाप्रद संवाद सूक्त मिलता है जिसमें
अब क्या यह कोई अनित्य व्यक्ति विशेष के इतिहास है?
क्योंकि कुछ लोग इसमें वेद के नित्यता को लेकर प्रश्न उठाते हैं और वेद में इतिहास सिद्ध करने का प्रयास करते हैं।
उत्तर - वेद में नित्य आख्यान होते हैं अनित्य इतिहास नहीं। इस सूक्त पर वररुचि कात्यायन के "निरुक्त समुच्चय" में आता है कि -

यमी अपने भाई यम को बहन से विवाह करने का प्रस्ताव रखती है लेकिन यम के द्वारा बहन सम्भोग को पाप सिद्ध किया गया है।
अब क्या यह कोई अनित्य व्यक्ति विशेष के इतिहास है?
क्योंकि कुछ लोग इसमें वेद के नित्यता को लेकर प्रश्न उठाते हैं और वेद में इतिहास सिद्ध करने का प्रयास करते हैं।
उत्तर - वेद में नित्य आख्यान होते हैं अनित्य इतिहास नहीं। इस सूक्त पर वररुचि कात्यायन के "निरुक्त समुच्चय" में आता है कि -
नैरुक्त मत के अनुसार यमी अंतरिक्ष की वाणी (मेघ में उत्पन्न ध्वनि) और यम (मेघ) मध्यम स्थान के देवता हैं। वर्षाकाल में जल से परिपूर्ण यम अपने पिता आदित्य (सूर्य) के पास जाते हैं, क्योंकि सूर्य ही किरणों द्वारा जल को अंतरिक्ष में भेजकर वर्षा करता है, अतः वह इनका पिता कहलाता है। अंत में, विधाता (वेधा) संपूर्ण जगत के कल्याण और सुखपूर्वक जीने के लिए इसी रूप में विचार और वर्षा प्रदान करते हैं, जिसे वेद के नित्यत्व के अनुकूल समझना चाहिए।
