What are Schnorr signatures and how are they used in Bitcoinβ
βοΈ Schnorr signatures are a digital signature scheme proposed in 1991 by the German cryptographer Claus Peter Schnorr.
π° In 2020, it was included in BIP-340 as an alternative to the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA). This proposal was implemented in the Bitcoin network in November 2021.
What digital signatures are used in Bitcoinβ
π Initially, Bitcoin used only ECDSAβa widely applied open-source algorithm in 2008. Satoshi Nakamoto chose this because, by the time the Bitcoin white paper was published, Schnorr signatures had not been standardized.
π In 2014, the need to introduce Schnorr signatures into the Bitcoin protocol was discussed on the Bitcointalk forum. Six years later, Pieter Wuille, Jonas Nick, and Tim Ruffing standardized them in BIP-340.
What are the advantages of Schnorr signatures over ECDSAβ
β‘οΈ Proven Security: Schnorr signatures cannot be forged in a chosen message attack (SUF-CMA) using the random oracle model with a sufficiently hard ECDLP. The security of ECDSA is based on stronger assumptions.
β‘οΈ Non-Malleability: Schnorr signatures are provably non-malleable. The malleability of ECDSA means an attacker could create a valid signature for a public key and message without access to the secret key.
β‘οΈ Linearity: With Schnorr signatures, multiple interacting parties can create a valid signature for the sum of their public keys.

What is the FDV metric and how does it affect cryptocurrency pricesβ
π FDV (Fully Diluted Valuation) is a statistical representation of the maximum value of a cryptocurrency project, assuming all its tokens are already in circulation.
π² In recent years, startups often release a small portion of the coins from their total supply. The limited volume of tokens in circulation makes them scarce, maintaining a relatively high price initially. This can also be supported by bullish market sentiment, hype around the project, and news of significant investments from well-known firms.
How does FDV differ from market capitalizationβ
π Market capitalization and fully diluted valuation are similar but not identical metrics.
βοΈ The first metric is the product of the circulating tokens of a project and the coin's price. The rise in the latter directly affects the market capitalization.
β FDV is the product of the token price and the total supply of coins, including those not yet released to the market. If all project coins are already in circulation, the market capitalization and fully diluted valuation will be equal.
π Some projects with a small "market cap" may unlock a significant portion of tokens in the near future. In such cases, FDV and emission parameters become key factors in the future price of the asset.

What are ordersβ
β‘οΈ Placing an order
Trading orders are "instructions" given to the exchange to execute a trade under specific conditions. They help you avoid monitoring the market 24/7, allowing you to pre-select the desired price for an asset and set other conditions as per your trading strategy.
β‘οΈ Market Order
This type of order to buy or sell an asset is executed immediately at the current market price. All you need to do is specify the quantity of the asset you want to buy or sell.
β‘οΈ Limit Order
This type of order allows you to set a price limit at which the trade will only be executed at the specified price or a more favorable one. A limit order helps to avoid "price slippage" in the order book.
β‘οΈ Stop-Market Order
This is a conditional order that will only be executed when a certain price is reached. Note that this type of order is suitable if you want to buy an asset at a price higher than the current one or sell an asset at a price lower than the current one.
β‘οΈ Stop-Limit Order
This order has two indicators: "Stop" and "Price." When the market price reaches the specified "Stop" level, the order is placed in the order book but is only executed when the current price reaches the specified "Price" level.
A stop-limit order enters the order book at the necessary moment and is executed faster than a regular limit order.
β‘οΈ OCO Order
OCO stands for One Cancels the Other. This type of order combines limit and stop-limit orders and places two orders simultaneously upon execution. When placing such an order, one volume of assets is reserved. Once one of the two orders is executed, the other is automatically canceled.

Trading on the exchange is done through special orders or requests that users place in the trading terminal to buy or sell digital assets. Let's consider the most popular types of orders and how to use them.
