Today, let's talk about obtaining a UK work visa.
Not all local employers have a sponsor license to hire talent from outside the country. Companies that do have one, typically offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship to successful candidates.
To qualify for a Skilled Worker visa (formerly called a Tier 2 General work visa), you must:
• Have a confirmed job offer and a ‘Certificate of Sponsorship’ from your employer.
• Work in a job that is on the list of eligible occupations.
• Have proven knowledge of the English language (CEFR level B1 or higher).
• Meet the minimum salary requirements.
Each occupation has its own minumum salary requirements. For example:
• Software engineers - £33,300 per year
• Software testers - £31,800 per year
• Web designers - £26,000 per year
To qualify, your employer must also be a legally registered and recognized company in the UK, like Paymentsense.
