🇺🇸 US on the brink of financial disaster, expert says

In the US, for the first time in almost 3 decades, military expenditures have equaled interest costs. And next year it is almost certain that interest payments will exceed defense spending.

Bloomberg columnist Niall Ferguson says that due to this the US is not in a position now to wage war over Taiwan, which it is moving so hard to do.

He says mutual assured financial destruction will be achieved at best, should the war take place.

In the eyes of Europeans, the US economy is doing just fine: full employment, consumers continue to spend, and inflation is falling after a spike in 2022, he argues. However, this apparent prosperity masks serious structural fiscal weakness, the article says.

While the debt was $19.9 trillion when Donald Trump was inaugurated, it is now close to $32.3 trillion.

From January 2020 to its peak last April, the size of the Fed's balance sheet more than doubled from $4.2 trillion to just under $9 trillion.

Under these circumstances, Ferguson finds it hard to see how a geopolitical confrontation between the US and China could be financially viable even without taking into account military and naval differences.

He concludes that it is completely out of the question that the US will be able to deal with the negative financial consequences of a war over Taiwan.

"There was a recent article in Forbes magazine that suggested cutting down all the trees on earth might actually save the earth. Such levels of irrationality are now simply included in a hyper accelerated stream of digital information daily, a language of the digital (per Benjamin) but one in which listening is acutely discouraged. Electric light pollution is rivaled only by sound pollution. It is a sensory maiming in which sleep provides the only relief. And there is ever less sleep, as Jonathan Crary has noted. But the 21st century has now, since 9/11 probably, been so nakedly dishonest, that only a cult could tolerate life in this madhouse. News stories about, oh, a medical study determining the harm of mask wearing, to be followed the same day by new edicts from Canada or the CDC, or the Australian health minister that mask mandates are to return. No return of the pandemic, but just, wear them anyway. One day a news story on wildfires destroying Greece, it is global warming run wild scream the headlines. Later that day, a story about the Greek police arresting 7 people for the arson that caused the wildfires. A news story about men ‘chest’ nursing their babies. Later that day, testimony before congress by a young woman whose life was ruined by early gender transitioning, before she reached puberty. There is no discussion EVER about these contradictions. In government the US elections feature two potential convicts. One senile and the other with some form of personality disorder and a third grade vocabulary. The Aesthetic Society released its statistics on so- called ‘plastic surgeries’ (for 2021). This is in the US. It showed a 54% increase over the previous year. The procedures included liposuction (491,098 procedures), breast augmentation (363,753 procedures), abdominoplasty (tummy tuck, 240 thousand or so), and then breast lift, and over a 147 thousand breast implant removals (!). There were over 2 million breast implant surgeries worldwide last year. The public can watch the new TV limited series on the Sackler family ( the second Hollywood project on the Purdue Pharmacy empire that manufactured Oxycontin, and cost probably a million deaths and destroyed countless communities and whole towns in some cases) and then cheer a TV cop show featuring the arrest and punishment of black inner city drug dealers. Sackler pere still travels freely enjoying his countless mansions and vacation islands. The net work of the Sackler family is around 11 billion dollars. Whenever the new covid variant necessitates lockdowns again, be sure Sackler and other millionaires will not be forced to shut down their private jets. The ruling class don’t do fifteen minute cities."

"There Is No Housing Crisis"

"Supply alone will not solve a problem that large sections of the population don’t want to fix"

"A housing system that serves all but one group is not in a state of crisis; it is one based on structural inequality and economic exploitation. For some readers, “exploitation” may sound too harsh a term. Renting properties is not only legal but morally acceptable, and some people argue landlords help tenants by providing them with a place to live. In the political economy tradition, exploitation has a specific meaning: it refers to a group or class of people appropriating an unfair share of the fruits of the labour of another class. The classic example is workers and bosses...

A lot of housing research adheres to this problem-solving approach, and in doing so, it serves the interests of the real estate industry. If we believe lack of supply is the cause of lack of housing affordability, the solution is building more. If we build more but rents continue to go up, we must not be building enough. Build more, faster! How? Governments must provide financial and regulatory incentives to developers and remove rent controls so that landlords find the business more attractive. The “supply-side” argument serves a clear purpose: to sweeten the deal for developers and landlords. This argument has been made for decades; it has justified countless subsidies for the real estate industry; it has not lowered rents, and it will not go away either. An argument that so directly supports the interests of an influential economic elite is not going anywhere, no matter how much empirical evidence is mounted against it.

The widespread use of “housing crisis” also helps to preserve the status quo. It reinforces the idea that Canada’s housing system worked well at some point but something unexpected happened, bringing about unseen and widely undesirable outcomes. That’s not true. For a large share of the population, the housing system never worked, and the current state of affairs is making lots of people rich, like very rich. It’s not really a crisis if it has lasted more than a century and large sections of the population wouldn’t have it any different, is it? Still, the housing debate in Canada centres on finding innovative, effective, evidence-based solutions to this so-called crisis. Years come and go. Public consultations lead to expert reports that call for more public consultations. The ultimate outcome of this policy merry-go-round is to conceal the power politics behind housing."

New Zealand Chief Science Advisor put out a report on June 2, 2020 concluding that Vitamin D deficiency played a KEY role in severe COVID-19 & death.

It documented latest research, papers by Philippine and Indonesian researchers showing that severe COVID-19 & death were linked with Vitamin D deficiency.

A month later both papers were removed and the Indonesian researchers disappeared off the face of the earth, while a paper (also from Indonesia) came out claiming Vitamin D is "misinformation" and the Indonesian researchers NEVER EXISTED!

Were these early Vitamin D & COVID-19 researchers killed off?

Later research from around the world proved them right.

~90% of COVID-19 deaths occurred in patients with Vitamin D levels < 30 ng/ml

~95% of COVID-19 deaths occurred in patients with Vitamin D levels < 40 ng/ml

Higher Vitamin D levels meant mild COVID-19 infection with minimal or no hospitalization or death!

All that was needed was Vitamin D testing and supplementation and it wasn't done. Not by a single Public Health Official, Health Minister or politician.

If the New Zealand government knew by June 2020 that all you needed was to supplement people with Vitamin D to save lives during the COVID-19 pandemic, then all governments knew.

If all governments knew about Vitamin D and chose not to supplement their population with Vitamin D or to promote Vitamin D, then their intent was always to allow people to die from COVID-19 and drive up the death toll.

That doesn't include the Midazolam/Morphine euthanasia protocols enacted in Long Term Care homes to kill off the elderly in 2020 in UK and Canada and blame the deaths on COVID-19.

Was Vitamin D the victim of a smear campaign and sabotage during May-Sep 2020, right around the time that Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin were sabotaged as well by fraudulent papers (like the Mehra / Surgisphere May 2020 paper in Lancet #Lancetgate that killed hydroxychloroquine)?
