IRELAND is to intervene in South Africa’s genocide case against Israel at the top court in the United Nations.

"Micheal Martin, Ireland’s deputy leader, said that he had been told there is a “basis” for an intervention in the high-profile case.
A Declaration of Intervention is now being prepared for the Irish government to approve and will be filed once South Africa has filed its substantive case.

THE HISTORY OF IDENTITY POLITICS IS A HISTORY OF RELIGIOUS IDENTITY

The history of identity is a history of religious identity. All other forms of identity popular today only came when and to those for whom religious identity is lost.

In this sense, it is important to recognise that Soviet Communism was an anti-religious, and therefore anti-Christian movement. In this sense, it can't be excluded that the identity of the kulaks was not only class based, and was more religion based, as in Orthodox Christians, than it was national identity based, as in largely Ukrainians, but not only.

Their class identity was really under attack, but it was their Orthodox Identity that was also under attack much more than any national identity.

This is what Solzhenitsyn's point was about, beyond the scapegoating of Jews for the crimes of Stalinism which were really based on ruthless collectivization not religion.

People born to Jewish parents took part in those crimes, and headed the NKVD, but so did those born to Orthodox parents. Their acquired identity was of Stalinist Communists above all other forms of identity.

The mistake, as always, was to put man (Marx, Lenin or Stalin) above God.

How the British Invented Communism (And Blamed it on the Jews) :

Trotsky and British Intelligence
"When the Tsar was overthrown on March 15, 1917, Trotsky was working as a journalist in New York City. He set sail for Russia, but British authorities arrested him when his ship stopped in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The British held Trotsky for a month in a Canadian internment camp.
For reasons unknown, Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service (SIS) came to Trotsky’s rescue, ordering his release. The order came from William Wiseman, US station chief for Britain’s foreign intelligence division, now known as MI6.(13)
Following Trotsky’s release on April 29, 1917, he embarked for Russia and joined the Revolution. The rest is history.
In Russia, British handlers kept Trotsky close. One of his handlers was Clare Sheridan, who happened to be Winston Churchill’s first cousin. She was a sculptress who claimed to be a Bolshevik sympathizer. Sheridan sculpted Trotsky’s portrait, and was rumored to be his lover.(15) Reliable sources have identified Sheridan as a British spy.
Trotsky was banished by Stalin in 1929, spending the rest of his life on the run.
During the Moscow Treason Trials of 1938, Trotsky was convicted, in absentia, of working for the British SIS. The star witness against him was Soviet diplomat Christian Rakovsky, who testified that British intelligence had blackmailed him in London in 1924, using a forged letter, all allegedly with Trotsky’s knowledge and approval.
“I went to Moscow and talked to Trotsky [afterwards],” Rakovsky testified. “Trotsky said that the forged letter was only an excuse. He agreed that we were to work with the British Intelligence.”

Hidden History
Soviet show trials are not the most reliable sources. However, a good deal of independent evidence corroborates Rakovsky’s testimony.
If Rakovsky’s charge is true, then Trotsky was already working for British intelligence as early as 1924. In that case, his relationship with the British was likely established some time earlier, perhaps as early as 1917, when MI6 mysteriously freed him from a Canadian internment camp.
The evidence suggests that Trotsky was already under SIS control in 1920, when Churchill publicly denounced him as a scheming “International Jew.”
Seen in this light, Churchill’s anti-Jewish rant in the Illustrated Sunday Herald begins to look like a cover story.
But covering for what?
What was Churchill trying to hide, by blaming Jews—and Trotsky, in particular—for the Russian Revolution?
You will not find the answer in conventional history books. The story has been erased.
But, in 1920, memories were still fresh. Witnesses were speaking out. The British faced hard questions about their role in the Russian Revolution. They needed a scapegoat."

Trotsky was a British spy:

"MOSCOW, March 5, 1938 (UP) - Christian Rakovsky, for years Russia's ace diplomat, asserted today at the mass trial of 21 Bolshevik leaders for treason that Great Britain accepted him as Russian ambassador only after learning that he was associated with Leon Trotsky.
Asserting that Trotsky was a British agent, Rakovsky said that he himself, after being shown a forged letter which constituted a threat to him, was taken to a dinner at a London restaurant to meet the chief of the Russian section of the British intelligence service in 1924, a year after his appointment as ambassador.
"I went to Moscow," he said, "and talked to Trotsky. Trotsky said that the forged letter was only an excuse. He agreed that we were to work with the British Intelligence."

Rakovsky said his connection with the British intelligence service was interrupted for 10 years (he went to Paris as ambassador in 1925), but was renewed in 1934 when an English woman approached him and told him to renew his contact."

"Mussolini was paid £100 a week from MI5 from 1917 to keep up the WW1 pro-war campaigning:
"Archived documents have revealed that Mussolini got his start in politics in 1917 with the help of a £100 weekly wage from MI5.
For the British intelligence agency, it must have seemed like a good investment. Mussolini, then a 34-year-old journalist, was not just willing to ensure Italy continued to fight alongside the allies in the first world war by publishing propaganda in his paper.
He was also willing to send in the boys to "persuade'' peace protesters to stay at home.
Mussolini's payments were authorised by Sir Samuel Hoare, an MP and MI5's man in Rome, who ran a staff of 100 British intelligence officers in Italy at the time.
Cambridge historian Peter Martland, who discovered details of the deal struck with the future dictator, said: "Britain's least reliable ally in the war at the time was Italy after revolutionary Russia's pullout from the conflict.
Mussolini was paid £100 a week from the autumn of 1917 for at least a year to keep up the pro-war campaigning – equivalent to about £6,000 a week today."
As well as keeping the presses rolling at Il Popolo d'Italia, the newspaper he edited,
Mussolini also told Hoare he would send Italian army veterans to beat up peace protesters in Milan,
a dry run for his fascist blackshirt units.
After the armistice, Mussolini began his rise to power, assisted by electoral fraud and blackshirt violence, establishing a fascist dictorship by the mid-1920s.
His colonial ambitions in Africa brought him into contact with his old paymaster again in 1935.
Now the British foreign secretary, Hoare signed the Hoare-Laval pact, which gave Italy control over Abyssinia.
The unpopularity of the Hoare-Laval pact in Britain forced Hoare to resign. Mussolini, meanwhile, built on his new colonial clout to ally with Hitler, entering the second world war in 1940, this time to fight against the allies."

A Mockery of British Justice

British courts for five years have denied due process to Julian Assange as his physical and mental health deteriorates. That is the point of his show trial.

"The C.I.A. is the engine behind Julian’s extradition. Vault 7 exposed hacking tools that permit the C.I.A. to access our phones, computers and televisions, turning them — even when switched off — into monitoring and recording devices.

The extradition request does not include charges based on the release of the Vault 7 files, but the U.S. indictment followed the release of the Vault 7 files.

Justice Sharp and Justice Johnson dismissed the report in Yahoo! News as “another recitation of opinion by journalists on matters that were considered by the judge.” They rejected the argument made by the defense that Julian’s extradition would be in violation of Section 81 of the U.K. Extradition Act of 2003, which prohibits extraditions in cases where individuals are prosecuted for their political opinions.

The judges also dismissed the arguments made by Julian’s attorneys that extradition would violate his protections under the European Convention of Human Rights — the right to life, the prohibition of inhuman and degrading treatment, the right to a free trial and protections against punishment without law respectively.

The U.S. largely built its arguments from the affidavits of the U.S. prosecutor Gordon D. Kromberg. Kromberg, an assistant U.S. attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia has stated that Julian, as a foreign national, is “not entitled to protections under the First Amendment, at least as it concerns national defense information.”

Ben Watson, king’s counsel, who represented the U.K. government during the two-day hearing in February, conceded that if Julian is found guilty under the Espionage Act, he could receive a death penalty sentence.

The U.S. and the U.K secretary of state were urged by the judges to offer the British court assurances on these three points by April 16.

If the assurances are not provided, the appeal will proceed.

If the assurances are provided, lawyers for both sides have until April 30th to make new written submissions to the court. At that point, the court will convene again on May 20 to decide if the appeal can go forward.

The goals in this Dickensian nightmare remain unchanged. Erase Julian from the public consciousness. Demonize him. Criminalize those who expose government crimes. Use Julian’s slow motion crucifixion to warn journalists that no matter their nationality, no matter where they live, they can be kidnapped and extradited to the U.S."
