Virtue - Umrah and Hajj

🔹 Narrated Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The performance of `Umra is an expiation for the sins committed (between it and the previous one). And the reward of Hajj Mabrur (the one accepted by Allah) is nothing except Paradise."


«الْعُمْرَةُ إِلَى الْعُمْرَةِ كَفَّارَةٌ لِمَا بَيْنَهُمَا، وَالْحَجُّ الْمَبْرُورُ لَيْسَ لَهُ جَزَاءٌ إِلَّا الْجَنَّةُ»

🔹 Abu Barza رضي الله عنه reported:

I said: Allah's Messenger, teach me something so that I may derive benefit from it. He said: “Remove the troublesome thing from the paths of the Muslims.”


« اعْزِلِ الأَذَى عَنْ طَرِيقِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ »

🔹 Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه reported:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Allah will cover up on the Day of Resurrection the defects (faults) of the one who covers up the faults of the others in this world.”

«لَا يَسْتُرُ عَبْدٌ عَبْدًا فِي الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا سَتَرَهُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

🔹 Narrated Haritha bin Wahb رضي الله عنه:

I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, “Shall I tell you of the people of Paradise? They comprise every poor humble person, and if he swears by Allah to do something, Allah will fulfill it; while the people of the Fire comprise every violent, cruel arrogant person.”


«أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ، كُلُّ ضَعِيفٍ مُتَضَعِّفٍ، لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللَّهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ، وَأَهْلُ النَّارِ كُلُّ جَوَّاظٍ عُتُلٍّ مُسْتَكْبِرٍ»

Imagine suddenly loosing all your family and wealth

🔹 Narrated Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Whoever misses the Asr prayer (intentionally) then it is as if he lost his family and property.”


« الَّذِي تَفُوتُهُ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ كَأَنَّمَا وُتِرَ أَهْلَهُ وَمَالَهُ »

🔹 Narrated Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “If somebody fights (or beats somebody) then he should avoid the face.”


« إِذَا قَاتَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَجْتَنِبِ الْوَجْهَ »

🔹 Narrated `Aisha رضي الله عنها:

Whenever Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) became sick, he would recite Mu'awwidhat (Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas) and then blow his breath over his body. When he became seriously ill, I used to recite (these two Suras) and rub his hands over his body hoping for its blessings.



«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا اشْتَكَى يَقْرَأُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ بِالْمُعَوِّذَاتِ وَيَنْفُثُ، فَلَمَّا اشْتَدَّ وَجَعُهُ كُنْتُ أَقْرَأُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَمْسَحُ بِيَدِهِ رَجَاءَ بَرَكَتِهَا»

🔹 Narrated Anas bin Malik رضي الله عنه:

Two men sneezed before the Prophet. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to one of them, “May Allah bestow His Mercy on you,” but he did not say that to the other. On being asked (why), the Prophet (ﷺ) said, “That one praised Allah (at the time of sneezing), while the other did not praise Allah.”


« هَذَا حَمِدَ اللَّهَ، وَهَذَا لَمْ يَحْمَدِ اللَّهَ »

🔹 Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari رضي الله عنه:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “None is more patient than Allah against the harmful and annoying words He hears (from the people): They ascribe children to Him, yet He bestows upon them health and provision.”



« مَا أَحَدٌ أَصْبَرُ عَلَى أَذًى سَمِعَهُ مِنَ اللَّهِ، يَدَّعُونَ لَهُ الْوَلَدَ، ثُمَّ يُعَافِيهِمْ وَيَرْزُقُهُمْ »

🔹 Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه reported:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to supplicate:

“O Allah, set right for me my religion which is the safeguard of my affairs. And set right for me the affairs of my world wherein is my living. And set right for me my Hereafter on which depends my after-life. And make the life for me (a source) of abundance for every good and make my death a source of comfort for me protecting me against every evil.”



« اللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ لِي دِينِيَ الَّذِي هُوَ عِصْمَةُ أَمْرِي، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي دُنْيَايَ الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَاشِي، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي آخِرَتِي الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَادِي، وَاجْعَلِ الْحَيَاةَ زِيَادَةً لِي فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ، وَاجْعَلِ الْمَوْتَ رَاحَةً لِي مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ »

🔹 Narrated Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Wealth is not in having many possessions, but rather (true) wealth is feeling sufficiency in the soul."


« لَيْسَ الْغِنَى عَنْ كَثْرَةِ الْعَرَضِ، وَلَكِنَّ الْغِنَى غِنَى النَّفْسِ »

🔹 Narrated Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه:

Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said, "The (Hell) Fire is surrounded by all kinds of desires and passions, while Paradise is surrounded by all kinds of disliked undesirable things."



« حُجِبَتِ النَّارُ بِالشَّهَوَاتِ، وَحُجِبَتِ الْجَنَّةُ بِالْمَكَارِهِ »

🔹 Narrated `Aisha رضي الله عنها:

I never saw the Prophet (ﷺ) laughing to an extent that one could see his palate, but he always used to smile only.



« مَا رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُسْتَجْمِعًا قَطُّ ضَاحِكًا حَتَّى أَرَى مِنْهُ لَهَوَاتِهِ، إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَتَبَسَّمُ »

🔹 Narrated Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه:

Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said, "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one who controls himself while in anger."



« لَيْسَ الشَّدِيدُ بِالصُّرَعَةِ، إِنَّمَا الشَّدِيدُ الَّذِي يَمْلِكُ نَفْسَهُ عِنْدَ الْغَضَبِ »

🔹 Narrated Abu `Abs (رضي الله عنه):

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Anyone whose both feet get covered with dust in Allah's Cause will not be touched by the (Hell) fire."



« مَا اغْبَرَّتْ قَدَمَا عَبْدٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَتَمَسَّهُ النَّارُ »

🔹'A'isha, the wife of Allah's Messenger ﷺ, reported Allah's Messenger ﷺ as saying:

“Kindness is not to be found in anything but that it adds to its beauty, and it is not withdrawn from anything but it makes it defective.”



« إِنَّ الرِّفْقَ لَا يَكُونُ فِي شَيْءٍ إِلَّا زَانَهُ، وَلَا يُنْزَعُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا شَانَهُ »

🔹 Narrated Buraidah Al-Aslami رضي الله عنه:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“Give glad tidings to those who walk to the Masajid in the dark; of a complete light on the Day of Resurrection.”



« بَشِّرِ الْمَشَّائِينَ فِي الظُّلَمِ إِلَى الْمَسَاجِدِ بِالنُّورِ التَّامِّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ »

🔹Abu Huraira reported:

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,

When a Muslim or a believer washes his face in ablution, every sin that he committed with his eyes will be washed away with the last drop of water. When he washes his hands, every sin that he committed with his hands will be washed away with the last drop of water. When he washes his feet, every sin that he committed with his feet will be washed away with the last drop of water, until he emerges purified from sin.”

إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ الْعَبْدُ الْمُسْلِمُ أَوْ الْمُؤْمِنُ فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ خَرَجَ مِنْ وَجْهِهِ كُلُّ خَطِيئَةٍ نَظَرَ إِلَيْهَا بِعَيْنَيْهِ مَعَ الْمَاءِ أَوْ مَعَ آخِرِ قَطْرِ الْمَاءِ فَإِذَا غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ خَرَجَ مِنْ يَدَيْهِ كُلُّ خَطِيئَةٍ كَانَ بَطَشَتْهَا يَدَاهُ مَعَ الْمَاءِ أَوْ مَعَ آخِرِ قَطْرِ الْمَاءِ فَإِذَا غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ خَرَجَتْ كُلُّ خَطِيئَةٍ مَشَتْهَا رِجْلَاهُ مَعَ الْمَاءِ أَوْ مَعَ آخِرِ قَطْرِ الْمَاءِ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ نَقِيًّا مِنْ الذُّنُوبِ

🔹 Narrated ‘Abdullah (رضي الله عنه): When the Prophet (ﷺ) entered Mecca on the day of the Conquest, there were 360 idols around the Ka`ba. The Prophet started striking them with a stick he had in his hand and was saying, "Truth has come and Falsehood will neither start nor will it reappear."


« جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ، جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَمَا يُبْدِئُ الْبَاطِلُ وَمَا يُعِيدُ »

🔹Sahl bin Sa'd (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Observing Ribat (e.g., guarding the Islamic frontier for the sake of Allah) for a single day is far better than the world and all that it contains.

A place in Jannah as small as the whip of your horse is far better than the world and all that it contains.

An endeavour (fighting) in the Cause of Allah in the evening or in the morning is far better than the world and all that it contains."


رباط يوم في سبيل الله خير من الدنيا وما عليها، وموضع سوط أحدكم من الجنة خير من الدنيا وما عليها، والروحة يروحها العبد في سبيل الله تعالى، أو الغدوة خير من الدنيا وما عليها‏.‏ ‏(‌‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‌‏)‏"
