Ps Yuli Maria had an abnormally high heart rate that put her at risk of a stroke. She went through surgery after surgery but none could correct her condition. After her fifth failed surgery, she suffered a stroke. By the time she was rushed to the hospital, she could feel her arms weakening.

A new Antioch 21 primer is challenging churches to rethink missions and the role ordinary professionals can play in taking the Gospel to the nations.

Bi-vocational workers are believers who go overseas with a clear calling to missions, taking up professions through which they can bear witness to Christ.

"In Kalimantan, every breath is choking. Even when you adapt to it, you feel dizzy, you get headaches, you can’t think straight."

In 2015, caught in the thick haze in Kalimantan, Wally Tham inadvertently chanced upon an idea to build a haze shelter for children and the elderly to escape the polluted air.

Today, Wally and his friends have built 26 haze shelters across Kalimantan, providing clean air for some 600 people.

With PSI levels soaring to between 1,500 and 2,000, these shelters have become a lifeline for people struggling to breathe.

As part of New Life Preschool Services’ early intervention team, Natasha Khoo works with families and educators to help children with additional needs participate more meaningfully in school life.
