Imagine pillars of stone that sing! The Pallava & Pandya kings built granite temples with 161 musical pillars, an unmatched feat of sound engineering carved in rock. #EngineersDay

Long before modern engineering became a discipline, Bharat was already pushing the boundaries of architecture, acoustics, materials and structural precision. Centuries before modern acoustics, temple builders under the Pallava and Pandya kings carved granite into 161 musical pillars, turning architecture into sound engineering. On #EngineersDay, we remember that technological excellence is not new to Bharat. It is part of our civilisational inheritance.
