12 days before Independence. The future of Kashmir, India's first Cabinet, and the Partition boundaries were all taking shape.
On 3 August 1947, Gandhi met Maharaja Hari Singh in Srinagar, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar accepted Nehru's invitation to join the Cabinet, Cyril Radcliffe continued drawing the Partition boundary, and the names of Independent India's first ministers were finalised.
