Ashoka : Was he really following the path of non violence ?? 😂
Neo buddhists often say : Ashoka was very non violent 😭
Formerly , hundreds and thousands of animals in his kitchen were killed just to make curry.
Even after writing the inscriptions , he didn't leave his habit.
During the Inscription period , in Ashoka's Chefs used to cook 2 peacocks daily and 1 deer for him , occasionally.
Ashokavadana says he was cruel even after he became a Buddhist. He tortured around 1 lakh Kalinga war soldiers after war.
Even Hieun Tsang mentioned the same :
Since he converted to Buddhism before the Kalinga war , evidently Ashoka was not so good in nature.

Ashoka promised that he would leave this habit in future ; but who knows if he did this or not..
Ashokavadana says he was cruel even after he became a Buddhist. He tortured around 1 lakh Kalinga war soldiers after war.
Even Hieun Tsang mentioned the same :
" He made hell for torturing living beings. Anyone who passes by the place was taken and executed without mercy or chance of self defense. "
Since he converted to Buddhism before the Kalinga war , evidently Ashoka was not so good in nature.

Sati " pratha " , A cruel social evil : Part 1
Since this converted rice bag is saying that Missionary William Cary first protested against this ; lemme tell you some real facts about it.
Trymbaka , an orthodox pandit of 18th century from Tanjavur said in Stridharmapaddati that Sati was an optional practice for women , to protect their Chastity from Muslim invaders and christian missionaries.
All the epigraphical and inscriptional evidences of Sati were only used as an optional practice for Kshatriya which was later confirmed by many of the later travellers.
In earlier times , Sati was not necessary. Only the heroic warrior's wife performed this and even that was optional and rare case.

Mahanirvanatantra ( of 17-18th century ) clearly said that the women who commits sati , goes to hell as all the women are already Shaktiswarupa.

Ibn Batuta , said that Sati was an optional practice performed by Brave and fearless women. He himself said that women clearly knew what they were doing & were not forced..

Sati " pratha " , A cruel social evil : Part 1 In earlier times , Sati was not necessary. Only the heroic warrior's wife performed this and even that was optional and rare case. Since this converted rice bag is saying that Missionary William Cary first protested…
1. Sati was very rare and exeptional case in South India upto 1000 AD.
3. Sanskrit has no specific word for widow burning. The term Sati for immolation of widow was given itself by European travellers , which means Originally there was no Sati pratha like events...
5. There is no Epigraphical or Literary evidence of Large scale sati performance , as often spread by Librandus , leftists and Vidharmis.
6. SATI and SATI PRATHA are totally different. There are trace evidences of Sati in history , but Sati Pratha only emerged after Islamic invaders.
7. Sati was also condemned by many Vedic persons. I will tell about them in part 2.
8. Sati is optional , rare and depends on mind state of woman herself ; whereas Sati pratha was somewhat widespread.. I will explain this just now.
2. 18th 19th century Baptists spread fake news that Sati was never stopped by brahmins and was all due to them. This claim could be easily debunked by earlier accounts where Brahmins themselves protested against Immolations.

4. Akhbar Al Sin , compiled in 851 AD mentions about Sati in Ceylon/Lanka, says that SOMETIMES Queens perform Sati. It was totally optional and if they wanted to live they definitely wouldn't perform it.

FUN FACT :
In entire central and South India , b/w 1000-1600 CE , only 52 cases are available for Sati. Literally only 52 cases in 600 years 😂😂 that's how rare sati was !!! Even 41 out of these were performed by Warrior women i.e. again an optional Kshatriya practice.. The remained 11 were performed by some brahmins and 2 jain women.

Belaturu inscription of Saka year 979 , a Sudra woman Dekabbe became sati when her Kshatriya husband died in a war.
Every relative and even his family tried to stop her , but she did this , all by her choice.
This again proves that Sati was opposed by logical persons as well as it was an optional , social practice.
Every relative and even his family tried to stop her , but she did this , all by her choice.
She donated her holdings of Land , Gold , cows , clothes and money as present which shows that even sudra women can hold property.
This again proves that Sati was opposed by logical persons as well as it was an optional , social practice.
