For months before Primfeed's release, many bloggers complained about Flickr (the leading social media site where residents share Second Life pictures) and its policies. Before giving any energy to that new project, in May 2024, I created a Google Form to see if people would be interested in such a platform. Within 24 hours, the response was overwhelmingly positive, and that is the moment when the decision was taken. It needed to be done!
There were two challenges in building Primfeed: hosting pictures and timing. After the publication of the Google Form, the first step was to find a viable way to host thousands of residents' pictures (Primfeed now hosts more than one million pictures) and how the systems could handle all this. Then, the timing. Residents expected the social media to be ready yesterday. While it was not possible, the key point to the success was to release something as fast as possible to keep the social media in mind. One advantage I had was EasyBloggers. The vital systems, such as handling avatars, stores, and servers, were already here and ready. Thanks to that, building Primfeed only took 35 days! Not everything was there yet as Primfeed is homemade and built from the ground up but enough features were ready, and the rest will quickly follow in the following weeks and months.
Primfeed is based on Second Life maturity ratings. You can filter content by General, Moderate, Adult, and a new category: Adult+. There is something for everyone, and you won't come across certain types of content if this is not what you want.

What are the future developments and features you are planning for Primfeed and EasyBloggers? Any upcoming news you’d like to share?
In the next months, Primfeed will receive three essential updates: the ability to search for posts and hashtags, the creation of albums/galleries to sort your pictures the way you like them, and community groups.
EasyBloggers will also have significant updates: Multiple products per post, categories of products, etc.
One more thing, by this summer, you will be able to share your Second Life picture directly with the Firestorm viewer.
How has Second Life impacted your personal and professional life?
Second Life has played a massive role in my life. I've met and spent hours laughing with my best friends in Second Life.
The Linden Scripting Language got me into programming and gave me my first professional experience. I had the opportunity to be hired by one of the biggest hospitals in France, developing a Second Life-based simulation to help train medical interns to provide aid during disaster situations. One year later, this project gave me my first real-life job, the start of my career as a software developer, in a startup in the medical field.
Tell us about some of the other Residents in SL who inspire you and whose work you admire.
The owner behind Apple Fall was and still is a massive inspiration for me and how I see my work's value. He was the first person who told me that my skills were worth a lot more than I thought and pushed me to pursue creating custom scripts for store owners. Without him, EasyBloggers and Primfeed wouldn't be a thing.
Teal Aurelia is a highly talented video maker in Second Life. I've enjoyed her videos and dedication for so long. I'm lucky enough that she agreed to make the original video to tease Primfeed for the first time, which is probably one of the reasons why the launch was so successful!
Where can people see your work? Please share links to your sites and social media accounts.
With over 55,000 registered residents, if you want to join Primfeed's growing community, you can register at primfeed.com (no email required, just your Second Life name).
If you are a store owner looking for a bloggers management system that tightly integrates with Primfeed, you can learn more at kynno.app.

Introducing the Second Life Creator Partnership Program
https://community.secondlife.com/news/featured-news/introducing-the-second-life-creator-partnership-program-r11184/
Help Us Grow Second Life: A Call for Creator Collaborations
We’re excited to unveil the Creator Partnership Program, a new initiative that invites our talented creator community to play a central role in shaping the future of Second Life. This program is all about collaboration—between Linden Lab and creators like you—to co-create content and experiences that delight both new and existing residents.
As part of our broader 2025 efforts to improve the newcomer experience, we’ve already kicked things off with some new amazing community partnerships. Later this week, we’ll reveal more details about our new Avatar Welcome Pack developed in collaboration with several well-known community creators. In addition, we’ve already announced new partnerships this year with acclaimed game and experience creator MadPea and premiere shopping destination Seraphim.
Now, we’re looking to expand our community collaborations even further – and we invite creators of all types to help us build and improve the next generation of Second Life new user experiences and beyond. Whether you’re a fashion designer, avatar builder, home goods creator, experience developer, or just someone with a standout idea—we want to hear from you.
What We’re Looking For
The Creator Partnership Program initially focuses on three core areas:
Welcome Packs – We’re looking for partners to help us introduce amazing community-created content to our newest residents as part of their earliest moments in Second Life. These new Welcome Packs have the potential to be distributed through newcomer-friendly areas inworld (possibly for limited time frames), as well as on the Marketplace or Viewer. Possible examples include new user-friendly clothing and accessory packs, nonhuman-focused avatar packs, new home furnishing packs (for both Linden Homes and creator homes), or even pet-themed welcome packs. The possibilities are endless – but all Welcome Pack content should be optimized for new community members not yet familiar with all the intricacies of Second Life.
Community Perks – We’re also seeking out partners to help us improve our community perks for more established residents. The possibilities include opportunities across several initiatives and promotions – including enhanced paid membership perks, free seasonal and special giveaways, expansion of our Mobile Daily Rewards to include virtual gifts, and other future programs and promotions that include virtual perks and prizes.
Community Gateways – Our existing Community Gateway program continues to be an additional outlet for collaboration. We’re on the lookout to partner with talented experience creators for even more high-quality, welcoming destinations optimized for new users across both broad and specific communities and themes.
Why Partner with Us?
Participating creators will benefit from:
Increased Visibility & Brand Loyalty – Introduce your brand and content to a wider and loyal audience with the potential for inclusion in major onboarding and promotion campaigns.
Direct Collaboration & Strategic Impact – Work hand-in-hand with Linden Lab to shape the future of user experiences and improve Second Life. Help define how new users experience Second Life—from their very first moments to long-term engagement.
Ready to Collaborate?
We’re now accepting proposals for future Welcome Packs, perks, and community gateway experiences. If you have content that could enhance a new user’s journey or create excitement among longtime residents, we want to hear your ideas.
Submit your proposal using the Creator Partnership Program Inquiry Form

Introducing the Avatar Welcome Pack
https://community.secondlife.com/news/featured-news/introducing-the-avatar-welcome-pack-r11185/
A gift for new residents -- and everyone else!
We are delighted to announce the Avatar Welcome Pack, a starter wardrobe that will give any new resident a strong beginning in the often intricate process of creating an avatar.
A number of Second Life creators have generously donated items, some of them crafted exclusively for the pack: Heads from LeLutka, bodies from Legacy, skins from VELOUR and LeLAPEAU. Clothing, hair and accessories were provided by Addams, ARCBACK, Cold Ash, DOUX, Gabriel, Heol, Mellow Elie, NOMERCY, PARÉ, Phedora, Stealthic, and Wings. Rounding out the pack is a set of animations from OMY.
New residents using this pack will have an easier time because of some simplifications. HUDs are a particular challenge for new users, so none of the body parts or clothing require them. All clothing items come with alpha layers, so new users will not need to manually hide body parts. Third, the heads and bodies look great out of the box with no adjustments needed.
All of the Avatar Welcome Pack items are available to use right now, in a folder located in the Library. Over time we will be adding Avatar Welcome Pack UIs to the Second Life platforms, which will make it easy for new users to choose among the predefined avatar bodies and looks. In fact, new users assigned to the Project Zero streaming viewer are seeing the first of those UIs as of today.
Is the Avatar Welcome Pack only for new residents? No way! Every Second Life resident will find the Avatar Welcome Pack in their inventory, inside the Library. Read the notecard for everything you need to know! Feel free to explore and adopt these items as part of your own look.
How can experienced residents help newcomers wearing these avatars? We know that many new residents receive help with their avatars from experienced SL residents. If you want to help a newcomer wearing one of these avatars, just remember that there are no HUDs. The heads and bodies are special “light” editions, but they are designed to be compatible with any items designed for those heads and bodies. However, any additional clothing will likely need alpha layers to look right on these “light” heads and bodies. As always, try the demo!
Want to Partner with Us?
Join the All-New Creator Partnership Program!
The Avatar Welcome Pack is just one part of our 2025 efforts to improve the newcomer experience via the new Creator Partnership Program—and we’re actively looking to collaborate with more creators on everything from best-in-class new user experiences to future Welcome Packs and beyond.
If you’re a Second Life creator with content that could inspire new residents or enhance their journey, we want to hear from you. Whether it’s virtual creations that amaze, environments that engage, or something completely original, we welcome pitches from creators of all kinds.
To be considered for future partnership opportunities, submit your Creator Partnership Program proposal using this form.
We’ll also be meeting with creators soon to discuss the program further. Sign up to meet on Zoom for an opportunity to learn more and ask questions directly to Linden Lab leadership. If you’d like to attend, then please RSVP no later than Monday, April 28 at 8 am Pacific. Details of the event (including time and date) will be emailed to qualifying creators on April 28.

Second Life Spotlight - Teager Mouse
https://community.secondlife.com/news/featured-news/second-life-spotlight-teager-mouse-r11186/
Today, we’re shining a spotlight on Teager Mouse, founder of the Teegle brand in Second Life, which brings lifelike horses and pets to the virtual world through detailed design, animation, and heartfelt connection.
How long have you been in Second Life and how did you first hear about it?
I first joined Second Life in 2007! You might recall that in 2006-2007 there was a rush of real world advertisers coming in to Second Life and experimenting with how to sell real world products in a digital space. At that time, I was attending the University of Texas for my degree in Digital Advertising. The Ad professors were beside themselves excited to try out this new medium! I was one of many young creatives who rose to the curiosity of how to utilize this brand new tool that was the metaverse. But long after my peers in the advertising world had moved on, I stayed. I had found friends, community, and an unparalleled outlet for creativity in SL.

Did you have a background in 3D creation before bringing your work to Second Life?
Believe it or not, I didn't! I had a history with digital creative media, having taught myself web development, Photoshop, InDesign, and a bit of Java. But prior to using Second Life, I had never considered work in a 3D environment as a real possibility. It was through Second Life that I eventually came to study 3D art and game design through both self-led study and courses with Gnomon Online. In 2012, I made the decision to leave the advertising industry and focus on a full time career developing content for the metaverse, and have never regretted it for a moment.
Teegle Overview - Video Credit Kelielady Spicy
Teegle is celebrated for its highly realistic horses and pets. Can you share the story behind the creation of Teegle and what inspired you to start this venture?
Before Teegle became Teegle, my earlier ventures as a Second Life creator revolved around a simple desire to just have any animated mesh horse in Second Life. Horses have been a lifetime passion of mine, and when I first began to learn 3D modeling and animation, a horse felt like a natural first "big" project for me. But although my first SL brand, under the name Breeder's Choice, did find some success, it never came close to the gridwide popularity that later followed with Teegle. In those earlier attempts, I really had no goal beyond "having" an animated mesh horse. What came later, and what I feel really set Teegle apart, was wanting to create a connection with those horses through innovative animation and scripting. Pursuing that line of thought is where a simple avatar shop became the Teegle we know today.
As a real world equestrian, I've spent an enormous amount of time around horses [shout out to my real life horses, Rory and Bella] learning their behaviors, body language, and movement. For me, it became not just a question of what should it look like, but also of how it should make you feel. And that was where Teegle found its roots. My passion for horses and animals drove me to hone in on the small behaviors that make the big impacts: little moments that add that feeling of life and of real connection with your animals. When I began Teegle, my goal was to do something that really hadn't been much explored in Second Life up until that point: to create an animal that FEELS like a real animal, that interacts with you and with the world around her, and that feels like she knows you and cares about you as much as you care for her. I wanted to create those moments where you feel the same sort of warmth, comfort, and connection with your digital animals that you feel from spending time with a real animal. And that's where Teegle really began.
Some examples of lifelike moments of interaction:

And that's where Teegle really began.
Some examples of lifelike moments of interaction:
When your two horses encounter one another in the pasture, and begin to groom one another
When you're standing away from your horse, and she walks closer to you to feel comforted by your presence
When your dog smiles up at you and asks you for a belly rub
When you're still and pensive, and your dog lays down beside you to be quietly pensive with you
When your dog eats from the food bowl you just refilled, or takes a nap in her bed
When you take an extra moment to brush your horse and clean his hooves before your ride
Building these little moments of connection into everything we do became fundamental to the way that our Teeglepets are designed, and changed the way that our community interacts with their animals. Once upon a time, we had horses that we sat on to go for a ride. Now, our community buys regions to build stables so their beloved horses have comfortable places to live. They design their homes with yards big enough to play fetch with their dogs. They group their homes together with friends so their animals can have friends too. We're exploring that space where an object from your inventory becomes a member of the family. And although I think we still have a long way to go, we're definitely getting somewhere!

Can you share insights into the tools and techniques you use to create such detailed and interactive products?
Our company workflow usually begins in Gitlab, where we plan out our future releases in itemized lists of goals and milestones. We then move over to Zbrush, where we sculpt our models, followed by Blender for retopography and rigging. For animation and breed conversion, we heavily utilize the Avastar suite of Blender tools. We have created our own custom workflow which utilizes Avastar's existing tools to convert from one breed to the next, making life much easier both for ourselves and for our third party creators! Lastly we move over to Substance Painter and Adobe Photoshop for texturing our models and providing free, accessible skin base files for our dev kits. And finally we arrive back at Gitlab to track and iterate on bugs or problems found during the development process and onwards!

Do you have any exciting new releases to share with us?
Our latest release, the new deer line of Teeglepets, has just debuted at Fantasy Faire! The breathtaking new Teeglepet Whitetail Doe, Teeglepet Whitetail Stag, and Teeglepet Forest Spirit are the latest in our line of interactive animesh mounts and companions. The team has really outdone themselves with this one, with beautiful PBR and backup materials, stunningly realistic animations, and interactive elements that add so much life, these deer really do feel like the real thing.
The Teeglepet deer can be found at The Wraithwoods region of Fantasy Faire until May 6th, when they will move permanently to the Teegle main store!

What other new developments or products can the Teegle community look forward to?
A chief concern of the Teegle team is the difficulty for new players in learning how to use our Teeglepets and mod them to their liking. While we agree it's very fun for more experienced SL residents to have one animal that does it all, we also recognize the steep learning curve that one-size-fits-all solution represents! We've been on a mission for some time now of making the pets easier to understand for players of all kinds. The next, natural step in this evolution is to begin a new line of pets of the wear-and-go variety! These new pets will come out of the box already fully customized with beautiful skins, fabulous tack and accessories, and simplified menu options. With absolutely no setup needed, these new pets really are wear and done!

The first in this new line of pets, the Victorian Romance Carriage, is already available and has been met with rave reviews and so much love by the blogger community! This carriage comes pre-hitched to a lovely draft horse, with included easy texture change options and couples' cuddles. We're so happy to report it's our smoothest driving carriage yet!
We look forward to more of these pets in the future, so that even the casual enthusiast can enjoy everything Teegle has to offer!

In your opinion, what is it that sets Teegle apart?
I think the major element that sets Teegle apart, more than anything else, is our Teegle community. Over the years, we have curated an extensive, positive, and helpful community of thousands of horse and animal lovers, roleplayers, creators, and regions, all under the parent umbrella of Teegle. Our helpful, positive, and loving community is what entices people to come, and convinces them to stay. More than any one product or feature, it's the people that have made all the difference.
Within the Teegle community, you can find:
A full calendar of events to try with your horse including racing, jumping, dressage, trail riding, cow penning, and more, with multiple events happening every day!
Numerous roleplay regions in different styles and genres: from realistic equestrian stable, to medieval, to fantasy, to family, with something for everyone to enjoy!
Classes on beginner riding, dressage, modding, and creation
A community group chat and discord that is friendly and positive, centered around helping one another learn and grow
Plus: new Teegle add-on creators can find one-on-one guidance from a member of the Teegle dev team, to help them bring their ideas to life!
If you think you might have an interest in the Teegle community, check out our in-world Teegle group or join our discord from the link at the bottom of this post! We love to see new faces! Animal lovers like us will feel right at home.

Besides your work for Teegle, what other ways do you enjoy spending your time in Second Life?
Besides Teegle, much of my time in Second Life goes towards my participation in Relay For Life. RFL of SL is a fantastic community built around the common goal of finding an end to cancer. So many in this community have had their lives affected by cancer in one way or another, whether it be the loss of a loved one or a personal battle. Having lost so many of our own, including two beautiful souls who dedicated their final years to being a part of our Teegle team, the Teegle community and I feel a personal kinship with RFL of SL, and most especially with Fantasy Faire, an annual fundraiser for RFL which has become tradition for the entire Teegle community.
For the last several years, I have donated my time as a worldbuilder for Fantasy Faire, allocating the months of December through April each year to build a new, beautiful, custom region for Fantasy Faire, as well as original One Of A Kind creations to be auctioned with all proceeds to benefit Relay For Life. Every year, the incredible builds of the Fantasy Faire worldbuilders, and the boundless creativity of our participating merchants, absolutely blow me away - and this year is no different!
I am thrilled beyond words with the incredible world we have created for this year's Faire! Read about it in the words of fellow Fairelander, Duchess Flux:

Oh, there are so many! But to name a few, my love goes out to:
Walton Wainwright, for his absolutely breathtaking region and event builds that defy belief, and occasionally, gravity
Monstaar Mama, for her incredible talent at animation, and for putting up with me as a teacher
Dash Phantom, for the joy and levity present in everything he makes, that always brightens my day
Anc, for her gift with all things glowy, which add movement and life to an often still world
Alex Bader, for his beautiful landscaping kits, without which my regions and shop displays would never be the same

Honoring the Past, Embracing the Future: Your New Linden Home Awaits
https://community.secondlife.com/news/featured-news/honoring-the-past-embracing-the-future-your-new-linden-home-awaits-r11188/
Change is always a part of growth, and with growth comes exciting new opportunities. Over the years, Linden Homes have provided a wonderful place for residents to settle in and create their own personal space in Second Life. These homes have been the backdrop for friendships, creativity, and community-building, and we understand just how important they are to so many of you.
As we continue evolving and improving the Linden Home experience, we want to ensure that our residents have access to the best and most modern living spaces available. A couple of years ago, during SLB, we announced our long-term plan to phase out all legacy Linden Homes. The time has come to make that transition, and while saying farewell to your current home may feel bittersweet, we are confident that the next chapter will bring even more possibilities, personalization, and comfort.
We also recognize the lasting impact these homes have had, and we are planning a special tribute to honor the legacy Linden Homes and the memories they have held. We will share more details soon.
With this change, you have a fantastic opportunity to explore and upgrade to a brand-new home that fits your style and needs. Whether you are looking for something cozy, modern, or nature-inspired, our latest Linden Home offerings have something for everyone.
How to Upgrade to Your New Linden Home
Making the move is quick and simple, and we are here to guide you through it every step of the way. When you are ready to upgrade, follow these easy steps:
Visit your current Linden Home and open the World menu.
Select About Land, then navigate to the General tab.
Click Abandon Land to release your current home and make space for your next adventure.
Go to Linden Homes and explore the available home styles. Once you find the one that speaks to you, claim your new home and start decorating.

Gacha is Back: What This Means for Creators and Residents
https://community.secondlife.com/news/featured-news/gacha-is-back-what-this-means-for-creators-and-residents-r11190/
Hello Second Life Community!
We are excited to share some important news that will bring renewed opportunities and creativity to our vibrant virtual world. Effective immediately, Gacha is once again fully allowed as a content creation and sales mechanic in Second Life.
Why Now?
The decision to prohibit Gacha in 2021 was following regulatory guidelines emerging globally at the time. We have continued to evaluate what steps we can take to support creative freedom while also ensuring compliance with evolving legal frameworks, which led to the recent changes announced in 2024.
Since then, the regulatory landscape surrounding Gacha systems has further shifted to the point where Gacha can be confidently reintroduced under current prevailing guidance.
What This Means for You
With this policy reversal:
Creators can once again design, sell, and distribute Gacha-based products and experiences as part of their businesses.
Shoppers will enjoy the thrill, variety, and creativity that Gacha brings back to events, stores, and the broader marketplace.
Event organizers and merchants can now reintegrate Gacha machines and mechanics into their offerings, effective immediately.
Guidelines and Best Practices
While Gacha is back, we encourage responsible and transparent implementation. Our community values fairness and clarity, and we ask creators to:
Clearly communicate Gacha mechanics and contents.
Ensure accessibility and reasonable pricing.
Avoid deceptive practices or “pay-to-win” designs that may erode user trust.
We will be updating our official policy page and FAQs in the coming days to reflect this change.
Thank You
We deeply appreciate your patience, feedback, and passion throughout this journey. Second Life thrives because of its extraordinary community of residents and creators who push the boundaries of virtual expression every day. We’re thrilled to restore something that had long been a beloved part of the SL experience and can't wait to see what you create with it next.
Welcome back, Gacha!

But safety isn’t just our job, it’s a shared responsibility. Let’s revisit some essential security tips to keep your account protected from hackers and fraud.
🔐 Top Account Security Best Practices
✅ Use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
This is your strongest line of defense. MFA helps prevent unauthorized access—even if someone gets your password. You can enable MFA on your Second Life account dashboard.
✅ Use a Strong, Unique Password
Don’t use weak passwords! Your password should:
Be at least 12 characters long
Include a mix of upper and lower-case letters, numbers, and symbols
Never be reused from other websites
Consider using a password manager to generate and store strong, unique passwords. You can change your password here.
❌ Never Share Your Login Info
Not with friends. Not with family. Not with anyone. Linden Lab employees will never ask for your password. If someone does, report them.
❌ Don’t Buy or Sell L$ Outside Linden Lab
We continue to see scams where compromised accounts offer “discount L$” through PayPal or Venmo. These L$ are often stolen, and if you’re caught in the middle, you may lose both your money and your account. Stick to:
The official LindeX Exchange (accessible through the Second Life official website)
The “Buy L$” button in the Viewer
If you see someone selling L$, especially through direct messages or inworld chat, report it.
❌ Don’t Trust Suspicious Download Links
Bad actors often share fake viewer downloads in chat or group messages. These links can install malware or steal your login credentials. Always download software directly from:
The official Second Life download page
Our approved Third-Party Viewer Directory
If a link seems off, it probably is. File an abuse report to protect the community.
🚩 Signs an Account May Be Compromised
Be cautious if:
A friend suddenly offers you L$ or asks for real money
You receive a message urging you to click an unfamiliar link
A Resident shares a download link or file unexpectedly
If it feels strange, trust your instincts and report it.
🧩 What’s New: Trust & Safety Team Expansion
We’ve reorganized and grown our Trust & Safety team to better detect, investigate, and respond to abuse and fraud in Second Life. With these changes, you can soon expect:
Faster response times to abuse reports
New tools to detect fraudulent behavior and prevent account takeovers
Expanded support coverage to help more Residents more quickly
We’re also exploring new layers of account protection in the future, stay tuned!
🚨 If Something Happens
If you think your account, or someone else’s, has been compromised:
Change your password immediately
Enable MFA if you haven’t already
Contact Second Life Support to investigate
Time matters. The sooner we know, the more we can do.
🙌 Help Us Keep Second Life Safe
Account security is a shared effort. Whether you’re a builder, shopper, club-goer, landowner, or new Resident, your vigilance makes Second Life stronger.
📣 Spread the word. Educate your friends. And always use official channels.
Together, we can protect the world we’ve built, one login at a time.

Second Life Spotlight - Tinker Hax
https://community.secondlife.com/news/featured-news/second-life-spotlight-tinker-hax-r11194/
Today, we’re shining a spotlight on Tinker Hax, the creative force behind Pride at Home in Second Life, and a passionate advocate for community and self-expression in Second Life.
How long have you been in Second Life, and how did you first hear about it?
I first discovered it during a random night of exploring virtual worlds with a friend, eventually landing in Second Life, where we ran around, and tried to figure things out. I remember spending most of my time wondering what all the silent people were doing, who were either sat, of scrubbing floors with a sponge silently - turns out, they were camping. Fast forward, and here I am over 18 years later since I first joined.
Pride At Home Team - Photo credit: Alien Daddy
Could you tell us about the inception of Pride at Home? What motivated you to create this destination, and how has it evolved since its establishment in 2020?
The idea of Pride At Home came about really fast. My partner, Coral Lacey, and I were talking about the cancellation of Pride events during the Covid lockdowns, where it was blurted out that we should do something in Second Life - a way to support small stores and for people to still celebrate Pride even if real-world events were on hold.
What started as a simple Shop & Hop event - completely free for designers to join - quickly turned into something much bigger than either of us had expected. The response was really quite overwhelming. We were flooded with heartfelt messages from both users and designers, and it became clear that this was more than just a shopping event - it was something the community truly needed.
The following year, we expanded by securing ourselves a full sim. This allowed us to host parties and offer free items through our expo, generously contributed by supporting designers. Once again, we received an outpouring of gratitude. Some messages were deeply personal - some people shared how this was the only way they could openly and safely celebrate who they were, due to difficult or restrictive real-life circumstances.
That’s the beauty of Second Life - it brings together people from all walks of life, including those in countries where being yourself isn’t always safe or accepted. PAH has become a place where they can express themselves freely and without judgment - and we’re incredibly proud to be able to provide that.
Since then, we’ve kept our sim open year-round, serving as a safe, welcoming space where people can hang out, explore, and just be. We have grown our team, who we are insanely lucky to have. We now host events throughout the year, because pride isn't JUST June, we do everything from art classes, poetry nights, a highly anticipated camp weekend experience, and tarot readings to themed parties and even “Halloweekend,” complete with trick-or-treating and themed party.
June is Pride month, and many members of the LGBTQ+ community in Second Life find it to be a safe space to express themselves and feel empowered. At Pride at Home, are there any specific activities or events that you're particularly excited about or looking forward to during this coming month?
I’m really excited about all the events coming up! One that stands out for its entertainment and creativity is 'Drag Your Inventory' a fun twist on Drag Race where participating kings, queens and divas have to put together a themed look within a set time limit. It’s always a blast to see what everyone comes up with!
But the event that’s especially close to my heart is our Pride Prom, taking place on Saturday, June 28th. It’s a beautiful celebration of love, identity, and community, and one I look forward to every year. And who doesn't love an excuse to get dressed up?

Shifting to your entrepreneurial ventures, you have co-founded major shopping events and launched your own store in Second Life. Could you share more about these initiatives?
I originally started out with an event called Gen-Neutral, which aimed to fill the androgynous gap in the market. This is and has always been something close to my heart. Though at the time, I’m not sure Second Life - or the designer community - was quite ready for it, so it didn’t last long. Still, the experience fuelled my passion, and I went on to be part of various teams and managing a range of events. But deep down, I always knew I wanted to have something of my own again - and that’s how Anthem came to life.
Anthem was an idea I sat on for a while before finally bringing it to reality, and it's now co-owned with Mikel Monk.
I co-own Shotgun Pop Up Events with Coral, which is periodic heavy themed events. The Bounce is also a seasonal sales event which I co-own with Cosmic Cat [Max].
Alongside that, I have my little store Never Sleep, which is a passion project.
I create things that might be a little niche to some - but the main focus is just creating things I want and if others enjoy them too, great!
Tell us about some of the other Residents in SL who inspire you and whose work you admire.
Ah, so many
First and foremost, my girlfriend and personal ass kicker, Coral Lacey. I'm biased but she’s genuinely one of the most talented people I know. She’s the co-owner of Pride At Home, and also the force behind Miss Chelsea and Shotgun Popup Events.
I’m also lucky to be surrounded by a small, incredible circle of friends, each of them uniquely talented:
Cosmic Cat [Max], owner of Cosmic Dust and an amazing singer with the project Late Night Feelings.
Alien Daddy [Jane], creator of Space Cadet.
Rykerzeke [Remy], blogger manager for some of my events and general manager of Pride At Home.
Cool Cat [Sol], owner of Epicene and a gifted live performer known for Heart & Sol.
Matticus Merrow [Matti], the mind behind Krature.
All the aforementioned play a vital role on the Pride At Home team along with xoJessxo Pexie and Saige Absinthe, who are the reason it is what it is today.
I will be endlessly grateful for Second Life bringing these golden people into my life.
But there are honestly a hell of a lot of designers I admire the work of!

A New Chapter: Tilia Joins Global Payments Leader Thunes
https://community.secondlife.com/news/featured-news/a-new-chapter-tilia-joins-global-payments-leader-thunes-r11195/
We’re pleased to share an important update with the Second Life community: the acquisition of our payment platform, Tilia, by global cross-border payments leader Thunes is now complete.
This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter—one that enhances the reliability, reach, and innovation of the financial systems that support Second Life’s economy, while allowing Linden Lab to focus even more deeply on building the future of our virtual world.
What This Means for You
We do not anticipate any significant changes to your existing Second Life experience. Your account, balances, and transactions remain fully functional and secure. Tilia’s transition to Thunes does not require you to take any action at this time, but you may be asked to review and accept a revised Terms of Service.
Second Life will continue to use the Tilia platform—now operated by Thunes—to power its payment processing, USD wallet, and payout services. You can continue to transact, pay, and get paid out just as you always have.
Same Platform. Stronger Global Support.
Thunes is a licensed global payment provider that supports seamless cross-border transactions in over 130 countries. With this transition, the Tilia platform will benefit from greater investment, scale, and reach—further strengthening its infrastructure while continuing to deliver the same compliance, safety, and performance standards that residents and creators trust.
In the months ahead, you may start to see the Tilia name gradually replaced by Thunes in certain areas, such as payment interfaces and support materials. This is part of a phased rebranding and has no impact on functionality or your account settings.
No Disruption, No Fee Changes
Let’s be clear on a few key points:
Your USD balances and transaction history remain safe and unchanged.
Your existing payout methods (e.g., PayPal, bank deposits) will continue to work.
There are no changes to payout fees or billing structures at this time.
Privacy protections and regulatory compliance are fully preserved.
This transition is designed to be seamless, with no interruptions to your service.
Why This Transition Matters
This move allows Linden Lab to devote more focus to innovation in virtual world experiences while partnering with a world-class provider to operate and evolve the financial infrastructure that powers Second Life’s creator economy.
Creators, developers, and merchants can expect continued enhancements to payout options, faster transaction speeds, and greater global accessibility—all under the stewardship of a trusted financial technology company.
Looking Ahead
As Thunes takes over the operational responsibilities of Tilia, we remain deeply committed to transparency, security, and service quality. Our teams at Linden Lab and Thunes are working together to ensure that your experience remains stable, seamless, and supported.
If any changes arise that require your attention, we’ll communicate clearly and in advance—just as we always have.
Questions? We're Here.
For any billing questions related to Second Life, our Support team is ready to help. You can explore the Billing section of our Support Portal and check out our Thunes Acquisition FAQ article for further details and updates.
We thank you for being part of the Second Life community, and we’re excited for what this new chapter will bring—together with Thunes, we’re building a more connected, efficient, and creator-focused future.
Stay tuned for more updates, and as always—see you inworld!
