This week, we march under the ruthless sun of ancient Italy — a land of shepherds, omens, aqueducts, sewers, and unshakable pride. A land shaped like a boot, where one stubborn city on seven hills would rise to rule the world.
But before Rome, there were kings and augurs, Etruscan dancers and Greek philosophers. There were legends of exiled Trojans, wolf-raised twins, divine wrath and mortal ambition. And when Rome was finally born — nobody was particularly happy about it.
We’ll witness centuries of war and upheaval: patricians vs. plebeians, Gauls at the gates, Pyrrhus and his elephants, Hannibal crossing the Alps, and Spartacus raising a slave army against the iron bones of a rising Republic.
And at the end — the fall of liberty and the rise of an empire whose shadow still stretches across the world.
This is the story of Rome from Alba Longa to Augustus —
