SUNDAY, 24 AUGUST:
Resurrection is no consolation, but a slow poison dissolved in wine. The sweetness of a newborn dawn intoxicates, yet your shadow already stands beside you, faithful companion. In every blossom unfolded after the frost there lingers a foreboding of decay, and within joy itself there already resounds a note of sorrow — a reminder that shadow is born of light, and that only in their union does life attain its beauty.
Nurnberg — gothic/post punk
Projdysvit — death industrial/noise from Prague
Oppressive Void + Desecrator — drone/noise

THURSDAY, 28 AUGUST:
It is time to turn our thoughts to the Roman Empire — the state that inspired the whole of Western history, forever changing, forever alive within it.
Our imagination tells us of an invincible power stretching from Britain to Georgia. Yet through long centuries the empire struggled for survival under the weight of its own greatness. We shall walk the path from the mad reigns of Caligula and Nero to the golden age of Trajan and Marcus Aurelius; descend into the catacombs of the first Christians and witness the mysteries of the cult of Mithras; wear the crown of the Sol Invictus, feel the harsh northern winds of change, and see how Antiquity slowly transforms into the Middle Ages.
Here our journey through European antiquity will reach its end — and yet a new chapter of history will begin. I invite you all to share in this grand tragedy of the eternal: that which vanishes silently and irrevocably, only to become the immortal spirit that still walks beside us.
