Oralkhan Aben, the wife of Tursynbek Kabi, a witness to the Xinjiang concentration camps, wept heartbrokenly upon hearing that the trial would be held behind closed doors. She had previously advocated for her husband's release while he was detained in a Xinjiang concentration camp in Yili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture of Xinjiang uyghur Autonomous Region China and under international pressure, the Chinese authorities released him. Now, she faces the prospect of having to fight for her husband's rights again. After her husband returned to Kazakhstan and reunited with his family, he boldly and publicly exposed the crimes committed by the Chinese Communist Party in the Xinjiang concentration camps. This cross-border and Transnational repression by the CCP is an act of revenge against them. Kazakhstan is colluding with the CCP, trampling on human rights. Oralkhan Aben cried out: "The CCP detained my husband for two years, and now he's being detained by Kazakhstan, and they're going to hold a closed-door trial! You traitor, Ayan Kalymbek (the person who requested the closed-door trial), I curse you! May God punish you! Just let the Kazakh government shoot my husband, I've had enough..."

The Kazakh Foreign Ministry addressed the family of Alimnur Turganbay, stating: "Regarding Alimnur Turganbay's arrest in Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang uyghur Autonomous Region, China, we have repeatedly made representations and held numerous consultations with the Chinese side, all to no avail. We have done our best. Pray for yourselves, and may God help you!"
Kazakhstan has now become a puppet regime of the Chinese Communist Party. The President of Kazakhstan has turned the country into a second Xinjiang, the only difference being that the Chinese Communist Party's five-starred red flag doesn't fly over the government buildings. While her husband was detained in a Xinjiang internment camp, Guldaria Sherizat was arrested numerous times by Kazakh authorities and fined thousands of dollars, which she was unable to pay. The family's only source of income was the meager wages Alimnur Turganbay earned from working odd jobs.
This is Riza Alimnur, the daughter of Alimnur Turganbay, who is detained in Xinjiang. She was holding a solo, peaceful protest outside the courthouse, holding a portrait of her father and mother, when she was forcibly taken away by plainclothes Kazakh police. She was arrested in front of court at 3:30 pm and released at 6:30 pm.
Riza held up a portrait of her father, who has been detained in the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region since July 26, 2025. She also held up a portrait of her mother, who is facing a 10-year prison sentence under the infamous Article 174 of the Kazakh Criminal Code for "inciting ethnic hatred."
Their family suffered from double repression from both the Chinese Communist Party and the Kazakh dictatorship.
