Wall Street is going 23×5: What it means for Asian investors
https://fifthperson.com/wall-street-23x5-asian-investors/

If you own and trade U.S. shares from this side of the world, you know the routine. The opening bell rings at 9:30pm or 10:30pm (UTC+8) (depending on U.S. daylight saving time) and closes at 5am. Anything that matters happens while you sleep, and you can only react in the night. By then, the news …

Why Does the Stock Always Drop AFTER You Buy? 📉
https://singaporetradinginsights.blogspot.com/2026/09/why-does-stock-always-drop-after-you-buy.html

Have you ever bought a stock…

And almost immediately watched it fall?

Then you start wondering:

“Why does this always happen after I buy?”

Most of the time, it isn’t bad luck.

It’s bad timing.

Maybe you bought because the stock looked cheap.

Maybe you tried to catch the bottom.

Maybe you chased it after a huge breakout.

Or maybe you saw a bullish signal and entered without checking the bigger picture.

In my latest YouTube video, I break down 5 common reasons traders keep buying at the wrong time — and what I look for instead.

You’ll learn:

Why a good stock can still become a bad trade

Why buying “cheap” can get you into trouble

Why chasing strong stocks can wreck your risk-reward

Why a bullish signal alone is NOT enough for me

The process I use before considering an entry

For me, it comes down to:

Trend → Signal → Confirmation → Risk → Entry

Because the goal isn’t to buy at the lowest possible price.

It’s to buy when the setup actually makes sense.

Survive first. Compounding will do the rest
https://fifthperson.com/survive-first-compounding-will-do-the-rest/

Most investing advice focuses on finding the next big winner. Far less is written about the quieter discipline that often determines whether you finish wealthy: avoiding losses that permanently interrupt compounding. The arithmetic explains why. If you lose 10%, you need an 11% gain to break even. Lose 20%, and you need 25%. Lose 50%, …

DBS & OCBC already moved… is UOB next?
https://singaporetradinginsights.blogspot.com/2026/09/dbs-ocbc-already-moved-is-uob-next.html

DBS has already had a strong run.

OCBC too.

Both bullish trends are still holding.

But now…

UOB is getting interesting.

After the August sell-down and a 1GT Bearish signal, the chart has started to change.

A fresh 1GT Bullish signal has now appeared.

The short-term trend is turning up.

And one key level could decide what happens next:

44.

If UOB can break above that resistance, could momentum finally accelerate and allow it to catch up with DBS and OCBC?

I just recorded a new video breaking down all 3 Singapore banks using my One Good Trend strategy and 1GT (Pro) Indicator.

I’ll show you:

• Why DBS is still the established leader

• Why OCBC’s sideways move may simply be consolidation

• Why UOB’s fresh bullish signal matters

• The key support and resistance levels I’m watching

• And which bank has the most interesting setup now

If you’re holding or watching DBS, OCBC or UOB, this is worth a look.

When should you rebalance your portfolio? 3 factors to consider
https://fifthperson.com/rebalance-portfolio-3-factors/

You open your brokerage app and something looks off. The U.S. market ETF you bought a few years ago has quietly grown into more than half your portfolio. The bond ETF you added for safety barely shows up anymore. That emerging markets fund you were so excited about is now a rounding error. You did …

The problem with ROE: How debt can make returns look better
https://fifthperson.com/problem-with-roe-how-debt-can-make-returns-look-better/

You are researching and comparing two companies; both report an 18% return on equity (ROE). One funds itself entirely with shareholders’ money, and the other borrowed half its balance sheet to get there. Both report the same headline ROE, yet their underlying performance is very different—and ROE alone cannot tell them apart. That’s when using …

The high P/E trap: When growth isn’t enough
https://fifthperson.com/high-pe-trap-when-growth-isnt-enough/

Let’s start with some scenarios. Imagine two investors who each buy shares in an excellent company; both companies grow their profits steadily for five years, but only one investor earns a healthy return, and the other ends up with almost nothing. So, the question is: What went wrong? The answer is not rocket science, just …

Stocks Are Falling… But DON'T Buy Just Yet! 📉
https://singaporetradinginsights.blogspot.com/2026/10/stocks-are-falling-but-dont-buy-just-yet.html

 We've all heard the saying…

"Buy Low, Sell High."

Sounds simple, right?

But here's the dangerous part.

A stock falls 20%. You think it's cheap.

It falls another 10%. You get excited.

You finally buy…

And it keeps falling! 📉

That's how many investors end up catching a falling knife.

Here's something I've learned over the years:

You don't need to buy at the bottom to catch the next big uptrend.

Sometimes, buying at a HIGHER price after confirmation actually makes more sense.

In my latest YouTube video, I share:

✅ Why buying simply because a stock has fallen can be dangerous

✅ What I look for before considering buying the dip

✅ How I use my One Good Trend (1GT) Strategy to spot signs that buyers may be returning

✅ Why patience can make all the difference

📹 Watch my latest video here: https://youtu.be/TZp5DR132Aw

Remember…

A lower price doesn't automatically mean lower risk.

Sometimes, the best trade is simply to WAIT.

5 SG tech stocks just turned bearish… more selling ahead?
https://singaporetradinginsights.blogspot.com/2026/10/5-sg-tech-stocks-just-turned-bearish.html

Singapore tech stocks are under selling pressure again.

And this time, the warning signs are becoming harder to ignore.

All 5 SG tech stocks I'm watching have triggered 1GT Bearish signals.

AEM. Frencken. UMS. CSE Global. Venture.

Some have already fallen sharply.

And with US technology stocks selling off too…

Could there be even more downside ahead?

That's why I recorded a new video.

I broke down all 5 charts using my One Good Trend strategy and 1GT (Pro) Indicator to show you:

Where the bearish signals appeared

Which stocks are showing the most weakness

The key support levels that could be tested next

What needs to happen before a bullish reversal becomes convincing

Because here's something important.

A good company doesn't always mean a good time to buy its stock.

And sometimes, knowing when to be cautious is just as important as knowing when to enter.

👉 Watch the full video here: https://youtu.be/4FER59fBPK8

If you're holding any of these SG tech stocks, or thinking of buying the dip, this is worth watching before making your next move.
