It appears Ophir and Davidson are currently experiencing a power outage.
Electric service to Ophir and Davidson has been restored!! Not sure what time it occurred.
The 146.925 Toulon Peak repeater was repaired today after replacing a defective power supply. The link out to Winnemucca is now functional again.
Sounds like the Elko link is turned on. It’s unknown what the status is, but at 13:00 the Elko ID played through the system.
Performance improvements were made to the 147.210 Peavine repeater over the weekend that significantly improved handheld coverage. Repeater receiver sensitivity was improved by 11 dB!
It appears that the power is out at Mt. Davidson. We’ll look into the cause.
OK. I made it to Lobdell. The problem is the controller. The PTT output on the link port is shorted to ground which was keeping the link transmitter keyed up in transmit. I could have put the link radio on port 3 but I needed to have a service monitor to set levels and I did not bring one with me.
I'll make another trip down and get the link working again. The repeater itself works fine. I'm pretty sure lightning caused the problem.
The Lobdelle 444.875 repeater is now linked back into Mt. Rose.
The final amplifier for the link transmitter from Virginia Peak to Peavine has been replaced. It went from 100mW to 8 watts. There shouldn’t be any more noise problem on the link.
Power is out on Ophir and Davidson.
For those of you that may have heard about the 147.030 repeater being down today during the noon net, whatever caused the failure has mysteriously cleared up. The repeater came back on all by itself later this afternoon.
Power is out at Davidson.
Internet had been restored to Davidson. DMR and DSTAR at Davidson is back in service.
Has been restored.
The 444.875 Lobdelle repeater is currently not connected to the SNARS linked system due to a failure of the link transmitter at Mt. Rose. The Lobdelle repeater itself is working fine. We’ll effect repairs to the link radio at Mt. Rose as soon as possible.
The link from Mt. Rose to Lobdelle Peak is now functioning again. It came back on its own, so at this time it is unknown why it stopped working. It is functioning normally at this time.
After some testing it was determined that the link radio at Mt. Rose that links to the 444.875 Lobdelle repeater, has a dead receiver. The link transmitter is also about 5kHz high in frequency; although, the signal is still legible coming through Lobdelle. This makes the link functional only one direction; someone talking through Lobdelle is not heard on the other repeaters in the system.
A trip to Mt. Rose is needed to fix the link receiver.
SNARS Davidson site is back online.
