DJI releases an automated drone battery swap dock
DJI launched the Dock 4, a station that replaces a drained drone battery in just 25 seconds.
This rapid swap allows the Matrice 5TD drone to return to the air almost instantly. Other existing systems typically take 90 seconds or more, making this one of the fastest turnarounds available for remote operations like infrastructure inspection or emergency response.

Armed combat robot tested for frontline operations
ARX Robotics and ROBONEERS completed integration tests of the SABER weapon module on the GEREON uncrewed ground vehicle on October 29. This platform aims to provide remote fire support in active conflict zones by allowing operators to manage weapons from a safe distance.
The system pairs a .50-caliber M2 heavy machine gun or a 40 mm MK 19 automatic grenade launcher with the mobility of the GEREON vehicle. This setup allows the unit to maneuver into position and return fire while soldiers remain out of the direct line of sight.
The companies plan to deliver the first armed configurations to defense forces by the end of 2026.
GEREON units already operate in the field for non-combat tasks like transporting supplies, electronic warfare, and medical evacuations. Adding the weapon module transforms these vehicles into active combat support units that keep personnel away from frontline hazards. π€

AGIBOT robots test retail work
Six AGIBOT G2 humanoid robots completed a 24-hour shift in a convenience store. Starting November 2, these machines performed tasks like stocking shelves, preparing coffee, and clearing trash to test their performance in a busy setting.
The trial spanned four duty periods, from night hours to morning rushes, showing how machines interact with customers and manage real-world service environments.

Xiaomi humanoid robots complete full 8-hour shift
Two humanoid robots from Xiaomi successfully sorted car parts during a full 8-hour shift at the companyβs automotive factory. The machines autonomously handled components, corrected errors, and synchronized with production line systems π€.
Such tests show that anthropomorphic machines can handle repetitive industrial tasks over extended periods. Sustaining operations for a full workday confirms they are becoming reliable for actual manufacturing.
