🚨 #BREAKING Tesla deploys Cybercab fleet in Austin

Tesla has officially put its Cybercab fleet on the streets of Austin, Texas, reaching a milestone of over 1,000,000 miles driven without human supervision.

These two-seater vehicles lack steering wheels, pedals, and mirrors. You can now spot them carrying paying passengers throughout the city, and the company has opened the platform to allow third-party fleet purchases.

⚠️ The rollout faces immediate scrutiny. The NHTSA has opened an audit into how these vehicles were certified as road-legal. This rapid growth is evident, as the fleet had traveled less than half of this distance just 6 weeks ago.

Progress often picks up speed, but regulators are watching closely.

🚨 #BREAKING Eli Lilly publishes trial results for new weight-loss drug

Pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly published late-stage clinical trial data today showing that its new experimental drug, retatrutide, helped people lose an average of 25 percent of their body weight after 80 weeks. 📉

The trial started back in 2023 to test a unique triple-hormone formula, pushing weight loss further than existing treatments like Zepbound and Wegovy.

Besides dropping pounds, the weekly injection also eased knee pain and reversed prediabetes in over 90 percent of affected participants. 💪

🚨 #BREAKING Skulls from Egyptian royal tombs show signs of sacrifice

On Oct 5, 2026, a new study revealed that 39 percent of skulls from First Dynasty royal tombs at Umm el-Qaab show fatal blunt force trauma. Bioarchaeologist Roselyn Campbell at Purdue University examined 46 crania kept at Cambridge University, confirming that ancient pharaohs were buried with sacrificed servants. 💀🏺

If you look back to the 1920s, archaeologist Flinders Petrie first uncovered these tombs at Abydos in Egypt. He suspected human sacrifice because of the massive rows of graves, but his tools could not prove it.

Now, advanced forensics show that 18 of those skulls bear clear marks of violent blows, finally solving a century-old historical puzzle.

🚨 #BREAKING Francis Halzen wins the 2026 Nobel Prize in Physics

🏆 Francis Halzen has been awarded the 2026 Nobel Prize in Physics for his work on the IceCube Neutrino Observatory and the discovery of high-energy neutrinos from deep space. The prestigious prize comes with a cash award of 12 million Swedish kronor, roughly equivalent to 1.1 million euros.

To catch these ghostly particles, Halzen proposed using a cubic kilometer of clear Antarctic ice buried deep at the South Pole as a massive particle detector. When a neutrino hits the ice, it creates a flash of blue light that sensors can track.

Unlike protons, which get scrambled by magnetic fields as they travel across the universe, neutrinos travel in a straight line. This lets scientists trace them back to their violent cosmic origins.

🚨 #BREAKING Apple's first folding smartphone is here

Apple has officially announced its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, starting at $1,999. The device features a 5.4-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner screen, running on iOS 27 with controls moved to the side. Instead of facial recognition, it relies on a fingerprint scanner built into the power button.

This launch places the company into the folding phone market years after competitors like Samsung and Google introduced their own devices.

Preorder demand pushed shipping dates into 2027. 📱🚀

🚨 #BREAKING Leap seconds are getting dropped to protect computer systems

⏱️ Atomic clocks will finally be allowed to run freely without emergency adjustments after international officials voted to drop leap seconds starting on May 20, 2027. The General Conference on Weights and Measures approved the change on October 15, 2026, under the Metre Convention, with only Russia voting against it. Coordinated Universal Time will become a continuous scale that can drift away from Earth's rotation.

Back in 1972, operators started adding extra seconds to atomic clocks to keep them matched with Earth. Earth's rotation speed shifts unpredictably because of melting polar ice and deep core movements, requiring irregular adjustments every year and a half.

Computer systems calculate time using atomic clocks, but software cannot handle backward-stepping clocks. Climate shifts raised the chance of requiring a negative second before 2035, which would cause widespread system failures.

🚨 #BREAKING Wastewater purification tech helps fight cancer 🧬

Researchers tested an experimental iron injection on 19 patients with advanced tumors, and the disease stopped progressing in 84.2% of cases during early trials.

The treatment uses a chemical reaction from industrial water purification to destroy malignant cells directly inside the body.
