Suniva secures $835 million for South Carolina solar factory

🔥 The American solar manufacturer Suniva just secured $835 million to build out massive new clean energy production. If you have been following how energy is made closer to home, this financial injection is a huge turning point.

The company is pouring this money into a $600 million facility located in Laurens County, South Carolina. The 621,468-square-foot building shell is already finished, and you can expect full production to ramp up in 2028 following a late 2027 opening. This site will add 4.5 gigawatts of high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon solar cell capacity and bring 564 new manufacturing jobs to the region.

This new plant represents a massive step up compared to Suniva's existing, fully operational facility in Norcross, Georgia, which currently delivers just 1 gigawatt of solar capacity. 🚀

Building the future of energy right in our own backyard.

Toyota to deploy 400,000 robots in factories

Toyota plans to integrate 400,000 in-house-developed robots across its global manufacturing facilities to boost production efficiency and support staff.

These machines are not designed to replace factory workers. Instead, they will act as partners, working side-by-side with humans to handle repetitive tasks and improve workplace ergonomics. The company is already testing humanoid units at its assembly plant in Woodstock, Ontario.

▪️ Robots will learn from experienced employees to help train new hires.
▪️ Toyota uses Digit robots from Agility Robotics to assist in building RAV4 SUVs.
▪️ The initiative focuses on scaling collaborative automation worldwide.

This strategy marks a shift from Toyota's earlier experiments, such as the Kirobo project on the International Space Station or the teleoperated T-HR3 model, which were primarily focused on specialized mobility rather than large-scale factory integration.

ABZ Innovation Opens Large-Scale Drone Factory in Hungary

ABZ Innovation has officially opened a new, large-scale production facility in Hungary in just 90 days. This rapid construction was a direct response to a surge in international demand for their agricultural and industrial unmanned aerial systems. 🚀

By expanding its manufacturing footprint, the company aims to scale production to better compete in a market recently reshaped by shifting trade policies in the United States.

The new factory allows the company to rapidly increase output of agricultural and industrial drones, effectively addressing supply chain bottlenecks that previously limited growth.

Unlike their previous, more constrained production setups, this dedicated manufacturing site provides the dedicated capacity needed to fulfill orders at a much higher industrial scale. This move positions the firm to maintain its supply chain stability as global demand continues to rise.
