The programme was officially launched at a ceremony attended by Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar and senior Ministry officials.
The new class brings together people from a wide range of backgrounds, including a member of a former South Lebanon Army (SLA) family, veterans of elite military units and media professionals.
With an acceptance rate of less than 2%, the programme attracted applicants from across Israeli society. This year’s class includes 19 women and 17 men, ranging in age from 26 to 51, with an average age of 34. Among them are both recent and long-established immigrants from Russia, Ethiopia, the UK, Canada and Venezuela.
Speaking at the ceremony, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar told the cadets:
“Represent Israel with a deep conviction in the justice of our cause. That is at the heart of your mission.
“The better you communicate, the better diplomats you will be. Someone who cannot communicate effectively can never be a good diplomat.
“We are fighting a war not only on the battlefield, but also in the battle for public opinion, against powerful forces. If we cannot tell our own story and make our case, no one else will do it for us.”
Over the next six months, the cadets will undergo intensive training before taking up positions at the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem and at Israeli diplomatic missions around the world.

On November 2, 1917, the British government issued the Balfour Declaration, paving the way for the restoration of the People of Israel’s sovereignty over the Land of Israel.
It set the stage for the international community to officially recognize Jewish indigenous rights to their ancestral homeland at the San Remo Conference on 25, April 1920, and by the League of Nations on 24, July 1922.

Three years after October 7, over 1,000 Christians from around the world came to the Nova massacre site.
Among them was Pastor Vincent Gonzales, who shared a powerful message about the extraordinary resilience of the Israeli people.
Despite the heartbreak and loss, the spirit of Israel remains unbroken.

Palestinian Hamas is systematically violating the Gaza ceasefire.
Since August 2026, nearly 400 violations, including attempts to attack Israelis, smuggle explosives, and rearm.
Over 800 illegal crossings of the Yellow Line to gather intelligence and plan terror attacks.
Hamas is continuing to destroy Gaza’s future and its chances for peace. Hamas must disarm.

The Israel-Kazakhstan Joint Economic Commission, chaired by Minister Ze'ev Elkin and Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister Zhaslan Madiyev and led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, convened for the tenth time, with the participation of representatives from 12 government ministries.
The Commission is intended to strengthen the strategic and economic partnership between the two countries and to advance cooperation in the fields of energy, artificial intelligence, water technologies, innovation, agriculture, investment and economic cooperation, cyber, critical minerals, science and space, health, standardization and more.
At the conclusion of the Commission, the parties signed the Commission's protocol and a double taxation agreement between the two countries, alongside memoranda of understanding in the fields of artificial intelligence, labor and cyber, and a joint declaration in the field of space.
During the visit, a joint working group on water convened for the first time, led by the Israel Water Authority on the Israeli side. The decision to convene the working group was made during Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar's visit to Astana in January 2026.
Israel and Kazakhstan, which has announced its intention to join the Abraham Accords, face similar challenges in the areas of the climate crisis, desertification and water resource management, and share common interests alongside longstanding friendly relations.

Six Palestinian terror suspects from Jenin arrested for trying to build rockets to fire at Israel.
The threat is clear: turning Judea and Samaria into another launchpad for terror. Israel cannot afford to wait for rockets to hit its cities.

Honoring the family of the father of modern Zionism. 🇮🇱
A monument to Simon and Rivka, Theodor Herzl’s grandparents, was unveiled yesterday on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
The ceremony completes a journey from the Jewish cemetery in Zemun, Serbia, to their reburial at a state funeral on Mount Herzl on August 5, and now a permanent memorial.
Organized by the World Zionist Organization, the event also honored Serbia’s historic support for the Balfour Declaration, that paved the way for the restoration of the People of Israel’s sovereignty over their indigenous homeland: the Land of Israel.
