The Day of All Lovers, in fact, in terms of the level of spirituality cannot be compared with a truly Christian, Orthodox holiday - the Day of Family, Love and Loyalty. Celebration in honor of Saints Peter and Fevronia.
The day of Saints Peter and Fevronia was celebrated in Russia for many centuries in a row. It was customary for the prince and princess to turn to prayers for the bestowal of family happiness and a future successful marriage. Peter and Fevronia became examples of marital fidelity, mutual love and family happiness during their lifetime. According to legend, they died on the same day - June 25 (in a new style - July 8) 1228 of the year. Their bodies, placed in different places, miraculously appeared in a single coffin, which they considered to be a miracle. Peter and Fevronia were canonized at the church council of the year 1547. Their relics are kept in the Holy Trinity Church of the Holy Trinity Monastery in ancient Murom.
The symbol of the holiday is a simple wild flower daisy. He is accustomed and calm. As the holiday itself is calm, which is permeated with purity and traditionalism.

Every year, the organizing committee of the festival presents the medal “For love and loyalty” to Russian couples who have been married for at least 25 years. On one side of the medal - the image of the symbol of the holiday (chamomile), on the other - the faces of Saints Peter and Fevronia.
