Due to deep-seated hatred toward Christians, Milad was martyred after being arbitrarily detained for 15 days on 25 August 2025 under a fabricated charge of “#Food_Violation.” His death was confirmed following his forced confessions extracted under brutal torture, intended for later use.

Responsibility lies with the provisional government authorities, who have turned the area into a space of extortion and intimidation—through illegal seizure of residents’ homes, imposition of financial tribute, fabrication of charges using unlawful means, and ultimately, torture leading to death. What happened to Milad is a clear example of a policy aimed at uprooting an entire historic community.

The execution of an unarmed human being in this manner serves as a terror message to the local community: submit or perish.

Remaining silent about these crimes empowers the continuation of persecution and sectarian religious cleansing against Christians, threatening to depopulate Syria of one of its oldest historical communities.
