Earlier 9/10/2025, Mohammad Qais Haidar, an 8th-grade student, was abducted right outside Jamal Dawood School in Latakia by armed men driving a silver Santa Fe, leaving his classmates and passers-by in stunned silence.
The boy — the son of a university professor and a teacher — was taken just a day after a teacher was gunned down at her school gate, marking yet another dark chapter in the growing assault on Syria’s classrooms.

All that remains of Syria is the innocent soul, surrounded by those who have lost every trace of humanity and mercy.
A land that has lost its moral compass, now ruled by the strong without mercy.
When students and teachers become targets, the nation’s future itself begins to fade into darkness.
