Gharibabadi: US crime against Iran Air flight 655 never forgotten

🔹Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi marked the anniversary of the US navy's downing of Iran Air Flight 655, stating that the July 3, 1988 crime—which claimed 290 innocent lives, including 66 children—will never be erased from the nation's memory.

🔹He added that the second crime began after the attack: denial of responsibility, lack of formal apology, and awarding a medal to the warship's commander.

🔹Gharibabadi noted that these days, alongside the Flight 655 martyrs, the Iranian people also honor the memory of their martyred Leader—symbolizing the depth of US hostility and Iran's enduring resistance.

The Clenched Fist Endures: Resistance's Geometric Fusion

The U.S.-Israeli war of aggression, beginning with the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei, sought to shatter the Resistance. Instead, it birthed an indestructible organism. As delegations from Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, Yemen, Afghanistan, and Pakistan converged in Tehran, they proved the "Unity of Arenas" is no NATO-style cartel, but a faith-driven synergy. The martyred Leader’s clenched fist is now a permanent command—the blueprint drawn in blood, with too many hands holding the pen for empires to wrest it away.

Persepolis Through the Eyes of the Martyred Leader

Ayatollah Khamenei’s 1988 visit to Persepolis revealed his profound cultural vision. In the site’s guestbook, he identified two enduring truths: the Iranian people’s timeless creativity, and the lesson that tyrannical empires fade while civilizations endure. He urged preservation of historical monuments as treasures for future generations—not mere relics, but symbols of national identity and divine traditions. As Iran bids farewell to its martyred leader, his words remind us that resistance is rooted in a civilization that outlasts all oppressors.
