🔹Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, Deputy Head of Lebanon's Supreme Islamic Shia Council, met with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran on Friday, where he briefed him on the latest situation in Lebanon and the continued Zionist aggression against the country.

🔹Al-Khatib praised Iran's principled positions in support of Lebanon's resistance, territorial integrity, and national sovereignty, describing them as a source of strength and hope for the Lebanese people.

🔹Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that based on intelligence assessments, there are extensive efforts to manipulate energy markets. He added that some elements within the US government are using "gullible media" to influence prices for personal gain while keeping the US president trapped in a war he has already lost.

🔹He also noted that actors aligned with Israel are promoting "optimistic, unrealistic assessments" to encourage the continuation of the war.

Qalibaf mocks US Treasury chief: 'Look at your bond yields—they're on fire'

🔹Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf responded to US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's inflated claims—including the assertion that 130 million barrels of oil had passed through Hormuz in two weeks—by reposting an article by Nobel laureate Paul Krugman exposing Bessent's "absolute failure" in market management and dishonesty.

🔹Qalibaf told Bessent: "The real 130s are 130 billion dollars in war costs (per Moody's Analytics), or 130 million dollars in losses for a company secretly intervening in oil paper markets on behalf of the US government—which Iran has uncovered."

🔹He added: "Look at your Treasury bond yields—they're on fire." The 30-year US Treasury yield has surged to around 5.3%, the highest since 2008, as investors reject Treasury efforts to stabilize long-term bond prices.

🔹"Professional investors don't trust your narrative," Qalibaf concluded.

Gharibabadi: Hormuz understanding with Oman awaits US action

🔹Deputy FM Kazem Gharibabadi said Iran has reached an understanding with Oman on Hormuz transit arrangements, but implementation requires the US to fulfill its commitments.

🔹"Iran is in no rush to reopen the Strait. If Washington wants diplomacy, it must take responsibility for past actions," he stated.

🔹The Strait remains closed, and any vessel transits require Iran's coordination and permission.

🔹Engagement with Qatar and Pakistan is part of diplomatic efforts to assess the return to the Islamabad MoU.

🔹"Iran has shown readiness—now the ball is in America's court."
