A Proud Milestone for DAAB, ICAI
The Digital Accounting and Assurance Board (DAAB), ICAI, has commenced the first batch of the Certified in Advanced Information Systems Audit (CAISA) Programme (Under DISA 4.0 curriculum) for 35 senior officials of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG)* at the ICAI Centre of Excellence, Hyderabad.

The programme is designed to enhance professional capabilities in Information Systems Audit, Digital Assurance, IT Controls and Governance, Cybersecurity, and Technology-enabled Audit, with a focus on contemporary practices and emerging digital risks.
The initiative is being conducted under the MoU among ICAI, ARF and the C&AG of India, reflecting a shared commitment towards strengthening professional competencies in digital audit and assurance.

A New Benchmark for Sustainability Assurance in India
ICAI has issued SSA 5000 – General Requirements for Sustainability Assurance Engagements, along with the Framework for Sustainability Assurance Engagements, aligned with IAASB’s ISSA 5000.
The new standard provides a comprehensive, principles-based and framework-neutral approach to sustainability assurance, strengthening the credibility and consistency of sustainability reporting in India.
With SSA 5000 coming into force, SSAE 3000 and SAE 3410 will stand withdrawn.
