Re. Nofap etc., somebody recently asked for my thoughts (I quote below):
Semen retention is definitely beneficial; try it for two weeks and you'll notice the change in your mental state, no studies required: increased clarity, more motivation, discipline, focus, etc.
The problem is that it isn't sustainable. 99% of people can't do it indefinitely without losing their minds, especially with pornographic imagery blaring out of every media source, half-naked women walking down the street everywhere you look. The extent to which somebody should nofap depends entirely on their circumstances. For a healthy guy without a girlfriend, limited fap of every week or two seems optimal. People with low libido could abstain for longer, but that in itself is indicative of serious health issues. People in relationships should also do nofap, for obvious reasons, unless you don't see your partner for a few weeks.
