🟣Polygon's MATIC to POL Migration Set for Sept. 4

📅 Polygon's PoS network will upgrade from MATIC to POL tokens on Sept. 4. The POL token, launched on Oct. 25, is part of the Polygon 2.0 roadmap, aiming to support zero knowledge-based layer 2 chains.

🔧 The upgrade began on the testnet on July 17, giving the community six weeks to address any issues. POL will replace MATIC as the native gas and staking token, with greater potential in the upcoming staking hub in 2025.

🛠️ MATIC holders on Polygon PoS will be auto-upgraded to POL. Others need to bridge or use a migration contract manually.
