A beautiful first trading day after our short break βοΈ
We extended our exceptional Gold / Silver winning streak - likely already the longest winning streak with precious metals in intraday trading ever - to now 52 (!) successful trades in a row, each closed significantly in profit.
Trade #51 πΈ and #52 πΈ were two more very strong Gold trades.
We also extended our exceptionally strong performance with NYSE Opening trades. At the same time, we extended our existing winning streak with indices to now 11 successful trades in a row.
Congratulations - and enjoy your profits

πΉ Dow Jones (-0.2%) - is trading slightly lower, while pressure from crude oil prices is increasing as they are, for now, ending their longest losing streak of the year. The focus remains on potential progress in talks between the US and Iran. As a sign that the situation remains tense, UK Maritime Trade Operations reported an attack on a cargo vessel in the Strait of Hormuz. Today, we are seeing defensive stocks outperform cyclical stocks, growth, and tech stocks, which limits the downside potential for the Dow. We are working with a tighter TP.

βΊ We continue to see overall positive momentum in New York and also expect the upcoming PMIs to show solid growth in the US. Private-sector activity in the Eurozone grew at its fastest pace in more than three years as the services sector improved more than expected. At 53.1, up from 52 in August, the reading is well above the 50 threshold separating growth from contraction. However, particularly strong numbers could increase inflation concerns and therefore initially create headwinds for stocks.
βΊ We still see further upside potential and expect some dip buying. We can essentially make almost the same trade as yesterday again, but for now we are choosing only to go LONG in the Nasdaq 100. I also see upside potential in NVDA, which is opening around 0.6% lower, as well as in other tech stocks such as AMZN, PLTR, and other chip makers.

βΊ Oil prices are rebounding after the recent decline - the longest losing streak of the year - and this has also pushed the USD further up. We are seeing less optimism about a resumption of talks between US President Donald Trump and Iran following his speech at the United Nations in New York yesterday. Another attack on a cargo vessel in the Strait of Hormuz showed that the situation in the Persian Gulf remains tense.
βΊ Heavy Russian drone strikes on Kyiv, hitting railway infrastructure, warehouses, and fuel stations - just hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met US President Donald Trump to discuss peace efforts - have also worsened risk sentiment.
βΊ We see Silver significantly lower, but finding some support near 65.00. We are choosing Gold here, which is somewhat less volatile and is also trading now below the 4300 level.
βΊ Yields on the 10-year US Treasury back near 5% are a significant headwind for Gold. Overall, however, we expect demand around $4300 as well as stabilizing risk sentiment, which should allow Gold to move somewhat higher again. We are entering slightly below the $4300, although we still see some short-term risk of a further correction.

βΊ The stronger USD also temporarily weighed on risk sentiment as well as stocks, crypto, precious metals, and other commodity prices - with the exception of oil, which edged higher today as optimism about a near-term resumption of talks between the US and Iran declined. Concerns about continued tensions increased after a cargo vessel was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz and Iranβs General Razai said that the US may want to do something in the mountains of Iran or attack Iranian nuclear sites. βΊ The rotation out of chip stocks, which play a key role for Wall Street, and into other sectors - particularly defensive stocks - caused the Nasdaq 100 to slide further and it is now down 1.1%. The S&P 500 is also down more than 0.6%. The Dow Jones, meanwhile, remained stable, with losses concentrated primarily in chip stocks and a few Big Tech companies.
βΊ Higher energy costs and reduced hopes for a resumption of talks between the US and Iran caused yields in particular to rise again. At the same time, expectations are increasing that the Fed will raise interest rates to reduce inflationary pressure. The USD reached its highest level since July.
βΊ A strong PMI reading, with the S&P Global Flash US Composite Purchasing Managers Index rising to 58.4 in September - its highest level since July 2021 - together with strong hiring and input prices rising at their fastest pace since 2022, further increased expectations that the Fed continues to see an elevated risk of inflation accelerating further.
βΊ We are buying the dip in the Nasdaq here, expect support around 30400, and are tightening our TP significantly for now.

βΊ We continue to see current correction, as inflation concerns are weighing again after US business activity came in significantly stronger than expected. With the S&P 500 near a record high in the previous session, we see this as a healthy correction. Losses in New York are concentrated particularly in AI infrastructure stocks. Fed Governor Michael Barr said that further tightening will likely be necessary to bring inflation back to target. US Treasury yields are significantly higher and overall at their highest level since 2007. The USD continued to strengthen.
βΊ Higher energy prices remain the main driver of inflation concerns. Input prices rose at their fastest pace since 2022 - another sign that higher fuel, energy, and transportation costs are pushing prices higher. We have also seen an acceleration in wage inflation.
βΊ We are also buying the dip in AMZN, which is down 2.7% and currently trading slightly below 248.00. The market is still punishing AMZN for blocking Metaβs new consumer-facing AI agent Muse from shopping on its e-commerce platform. The reason is that Amazon wants consumers to use its own AI features, which already allow sellers to carry out tasks such as restocking inventory or adjusting product prices, as well as Amazon Bedrock - a cloud service within Amazon Web Services that enables developers to build generative AI applications.
βΊ Amazonβs cloud revenue growth is being underestimated and undervalued. As a cyclical and USD-sensitive stock, AMZN also faced fundamental headwinds today. We are buying this dip.
βΊ Wolfe reiterated AMZN today as βOutperformβ and raised its price target to $320 from $315. Wolfe also named AMZN a top pick for 2027.

βΊ We are also buying the dip in AMZN, which is down 2.7% and currently trading slightly below 248.00.

As impressive even perfect as the first part of our performance overview was, the second part is a rare outlier and completely unspectacular. All positions remained open at the end of regular trading - my AMZN position πΈ has since hit the SL in after-hours trading. The stock is currently trading near $248.50. We found an exceptional entry after the significant recent losses in AMZN. We worked with a tight SL π here - which always comes with a high risk of getting triggered.
In early Asian trading, oil prices have pulled back somewhat. This should be important for risk sentiment to stabilize or improve again later in the session.
Strong US economic data as well as comments from Fed Governor Michael Barr increased expectations during Wednesdayβs session that the Fed could once again place greater focus on fighting inflation. The result was higher US yields and a significantly stronger USD.
The temporary rebound in oil prices - which remain at very high levels - following the recent extended losing streak was also a major driver of renewed inflation concerns.

βΊ The rebound in oil prices and signs that the prolonged period of elevated oil prices will re-accelerate inflation have pushed yields significantly higher again. In this market, investors often see very few places to βhide.β We are currently seeing the gains from the start of the week being erased as investors turn more cautious.
βΊ Oil prices jumped higher after Iran warned that Tehran could expand the war into the Indian Ocean if the US or Israel attacks again. Asia is on track to import 23.96 million barrels of crude oil per day in September - the highest level since the start of the Iran war - further increasing the impact of limited supply. China is importing more oil again, after the country started increasing purchases instead of relying on its strategic reserves.
βΊ We expect the current pressure to remain and oil prices to stay supported during late pre-market and early US trading. We are therefore buying the current dip in WTI, which is trading around 1% higher, and expect further short-term gains as investors see few signs that the Trump administration is resuming diplomatic efforts with the Islamic Republic.
βΊ We are setting a tight SL, as the Trump administration could at any time start talking again about possible negotiations - even if those claims were not true.

A rebound in oil prices and further signs that elevated oil prices will have an impact on consumer and producer prices in the coming periods have pushed yields and expectations for further rate hikes even higher.
Considering the sharp rise in yields, the market reaction has so far been relatively mild. US Treasury yields are at their highest levels in a decade.
Gold is trading somewhat lower today, but at the same time investors increasingly see few places to βhideβ in a high-interest-rate environment and continue to see significant upside potential for Gold in 2026.
While oil prices have rebounded from an earlier decline, the recent slide limits near-term upside potential.

Recommended Entry Range
πΉ Dow Jones (-0.2%) - is benefiting from a strong outperformance of more defensive stocks, as investors turn more cautious amid further increased inflation concerns, rate hike expectations, and particularly higher yields. We just updated our TP.
πΉ Nasdaq (-0.8%) - is once again under selling pressure from losses in the AI sector, particularly chip stocks. Once oil prices and yields stabilize, we should see dip buying return in tech stocks, including chip stocks.
πΉ Amazon (-1.0%) - is opening around 1% lower. My position already closed in after-hours trading yesterday. If your position is still open, it will trigger the SL, plus a small gap.
πΉ Meta (-0.8%) - is opening lower, but we want to find an exit in case you are holding a SHORT position. Metaβs latest AI improvements give the stock a strong outlook for further gains. META narrowly missed our TP yesterday.
π TP
πΉ Nvidia (-1.1%) - is sliding somewhat further and will open near 223.00. Losses in the chip sector are also weighing on NVDA, even though Nvidia is undervalued. NVDA should deliver a strong performance before year-end. We can remain LONG but are setting a tighter TP
π TP
βΊ While the stronger USD and higher input prices are weighing on AAPL, todayβs sentiment environment is fundamentally favorable for AAPL, as we continue to see headwinds for risk assets, including the decline in the AI sector. Defensive stocks are showing strong outperformance - including the healthcare sector and consumer staples. AAPL is opening slightly lower near 335.50, around 0.4% down - and is currently also trading around 335.50 in pre-market. We can enter slightly below this level and take advantage of the elevated volatility in early trading.
βΊ We also see downside potential
