► It was a good overnight session for us. Despite higher oil prices, we are seeing some exhaustion of selling pressure in precious metals and certain AI stocks. However, the market continues to grapple with high and still rising energy prices, alongside persistent inflation concerns. Concerns about financing AI infrastructure have not disappeared either.

► As described, we saw buying at key levels. Gold is finding buyers near / slightly above $4,000 for now, while silver is trading around $54.00.

► Our EUR/USD position hit TP ✅📸, as weak European business activity data - particularly from France - supported the decline. Negative and weaker-than-expected UK retail sales data also pushed our FTSE_100 position into TP ✅📸. However, we knew that the FTSE_100’s outperformance was excessive and unjustified here - a relatively straightforward trade.

► The USD is benefiting from higher oil prices but remains somewhat weakened by yesterday’s very sharp decline in US Treasury yields. This reflects reduced expectations for US economic outperformance, which could ultimately also have a deflationary effect. We can see this in lower rate hike expectations, even as oil prices have continued to rise.

► Overall, we see slightly improved risk sentiment after the sharp sell-off in Asia - such as in Korea - reversed.

🔹 Nasdaq 100 (-0.25%) - is narrowing its significant underperformance, with some key stocks stabilizing - most importantly NVDA. SPCX opens around 1.5% higher, while MU, another key chip stock, is up about 1.3%. The heavily sold chip sector is slightly positive overall, including AMD, INTL, and LRCX, which plunged particularly sharply after earnings yesterday. Losses are now spreading into other sectors. Big tech’s underperformance is weighing on the market. Sentiment is likely to remain cautious ahead of the weekend, especially with oil prices near their highest levels since the Iran war began on February 28.

South Korea’s chip-heavy Kospi recovered from losses of as much as 4.1% to close 0.3% higher. We are tightening our TPs. NVDA received a rare negative analyst call: Seaport issued a “SELL” rating, saying investors are increasingly concerned about competitive pressures. While that is true, NVDA is not a SELL here - especially over Seaport’s investment horizon (= medium term).

META opens around 1.7% lower, significantly underperforming other big tech stocks and the Nasdaq 100. We are waiting for further initial selling, but see increasing support for META around the -2% level, near / below 635. AAPL is also interesting, as the stock generally benefits from this broader sentiment environment. However, AAPL has already significantly outperformed this week, limiting its short-term upside.

► Boeing secured U.S. regulatory approval for its 737 MAX 10 on Tuesday. This brings the planemaker closer to starting deliveries of the largest aircraft in its single-aisle MAX lineup following a prolonged certification process. The company originally targeted 2020 for the first deliveries. However, technical challenges and increased regulatory scrutiny significantly extended the timeline. This has been Boeing’s biggest - non-COVID-related - drag over the past five-plus years.

► According to Boeing, the MAX 10 accounts for around 30% of its MAX backlog. Weak delivery numbers have weighed heavily on BA’s metrics. Longer term, BA is now very attractive, and a sustained recovery could begin - although the stock is generally not cheaply valued despite the sharp share-price declines.

► Boeing is now trading higher today following an impressive rebound from a weak opening.
BA also benefited from oil prices temporarily easing after once again approaching their highest levels since the Iran war began. We expect oil prices to remain elevated and even move back toward their session highs before the end of the weekend.

► We are selling BA here in the final three hours of regular trading and expect some pullback from its strong rebound gains.

► We closed a BTC LONG position this week. BTC is now trading more than 3.5% below our triggered TP and slightly more than 4% below this week’s highs.

► The renewed sell-off, particularly in the AI / chip sector, which is positively correlated with crypto, has left BTC trading flat for the week again.

► Increased geopolitical concerns and oil prices (Brent) moving back near their 2026 highs have weighed heavily on USD-denominated assets, including cryptocurrencies. Lower yields and reduced expectations for Fed rate hikes amid signs of a cooling U.S. economy provided insufficient support for crypto to extend its overall strong performance over the past two months.

► While the situation in the Middle East will remain tense, the scope for further escalation has narrowed. Reports of attacks on oil tankers have lost some of their impact. Oil prices will likely stabilize on Monday, accompanied by some short-term waves of selling.

► Oil prices will remain elevated, as there are no signs of the conflict easing and concerns persist that the U.S. and Israel will intensify their attacks on Iran after the midterm elections. Trump will continue trying to signal that more oil and fuel supply will become available.

► We can buy the sharp dip with a small position and generally see more upside than additional near-term downside potential from here. We are already positioning for moves early next week.

► It is also worth noting that the second-to-last week of October is typically challenging for risk sentiment. Sentiment then often improves toward the end of October as the year-end rally begins.

Friday’s session saw surprisingly low trading volume, closing out a very volatile week marked by sharp swings in sentiment.

Our 🔼 signal accuracy / success rate edged slightly higher as a flawless 5/5 session 💎 (SA/SR = 100%) rolled out of our rolling five-week calculation and was replaced by last Friday’s 6/6 session 💎 (SA/SR = 100%).

We reduced our exposure this week. Unfortunately, some of our TPs were not triggered, as Thursday’s sharp return to risk-off sentiment pushed them out of reach. We retain some additional LONG exposure to precious metals, but see good prospects for a strong rebound.

It was a good session for us. Markets remained cautious, with investors waiting for fresh catalysts after a chaotic week. We reduced our overall exposure and executed some excellent trades, including another fantastic NYSE opening trade in META 📸. Our NYSE opening trades were again exceptional this week - congratulations! 👏

Meanwhile, our late BTC 📸 position hit its SL. It was set too tight, although even a 1-1.5% wider stop would have been triggered as concerns about further escalation in the Middle East intensified over the weekend. U.S. President Trump is increasingly laying the groundwork for another operation after the midterm elections, while Yemen's Houthis launched new waves of attacks on Saudi targets on Saturday / early Sunday, including King Khalid Airport in Riyadh.

A pending buy order in the 79K - 80K range would have been a better approach. However, our tight SL kept the loss very modest. If you are still LONG, you can maintain the position with a tighter TP ✅ @: 81400.30.

We closed BA 📸 at breakeven. Our FX positions in EUR/USD 📸 and USD/JPY 📸 closed well in profit.

► The risk-off move initially continued over the weekend - although weekend trading is not a reliable gauge - pushing Bitcoin below $80K. However, we are seeing the improvement in risk sentiment we expected at the start of the week. Last week’s sharp rise in oil prices back to their 2026 highs had weighed on sentiment. Concerns about escalation over the weekend also prompted the typical reduction in risk exposure ahead of the weekend. While attacks on Saudi facilities increased, as explained in previous weeks, the threshold for what the market considers further escalation has risen.

► Iran prepared to host senior security and defense officials from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey for regional talks. This provided additional relief and strengthened expectations that regional powers are working toward easing tensions.

► Another positive development: META rose in premarket trading today after announcing plans to raise up to $95 billion through share sales to fund AI development. NVDA, AVGO and AMD are among the potential buyers. We are seeing broad gains across the tech sector.

► Major technology companies report earnings this week, including GOOGL, MSFT and AMZN, as well as SKHY and Samsung. Interest rate decisions from key central banks are also on the agenda: the Fed, ECB and BoJ.

► We are seeing broad-based gains: every sector is trading higher except energy.

► Another positive development, particularly for European sentiment: French government bonds rallied after Moody’s affirmed its A3 credit rating despite maintaining a negative outlook. The rating is seven notches above speculative grade. The French 10-year government bond yield fell seven basis points, narrowing the spread over comparable German Bunds following recent political unrest and budget concerns.

► We can re-enter BTC here. Bitcoin has not rallied yet but is trading above its weekend lows. We are limiting potential losses with a fairly tight SL.

🔹 Alphabet (+0.6%) - opens higher after a weak performance over the past two weeks. We are keeping our position unchanged for now (TP ✅ @: 332.27).

🔹 Nvidia (+1.2%), Intel (+1.9%), SK Hynix (+3.0%) - are opening strongly, with chip stocks significantly outperforming other sectors / industries. The chip sector already began rebounding on Friday - an encouraging sign given that overall sentiment remained cautious. While we expect gains today, we will also see recurring waves of “profit-taking.” The recovery will remain fragile. This week will be crucial, with numerous major technology companies reporting earnings - including SKHY. Piper Sandler reiterates its “Overweight” rating on Nvidia.


► We expect LMT to extend its gains following an agreement to continue producing fighter jets for the U.S. Department of Defense. Lockheed Martin said last week that it had reached a 10-year framework agreement with the U.S. government for production of its F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter. This significantly reduces risks for the stock. LMT is also ramping up missile production. Additionally, LMT benefits from a substantial price-target increase by investment banking giant Morgan Stanley to $835 (from $690). LMT has significant room to move back toward its 2026 highs - even after a strong opening near 613.00. We can enter slightly below that level, taking advantage of volatility around the NYSE opening.

► We also want to buy the dip in META. META fell after announcing potential equity financing of up to $95 billion amid rising AI spending. NVDA, AMD, and AVGO have each expressed interest in purchasing an aggregate of up to $5 billion in Class A common stock through the offering. While this is a sign of confidence, it also strongly smells of circular financing. However, META has recently underperformed despite an overall strong earnings report. Concerns about excessive AI spending continue to weigh. We see rebound potential and are buying the weak opening. META is trading around $634 in late premarket trading and is quite volatile.
