Our 🔽 success rate slipped slightly further to a still very high 83.1%, as a flawless 6/6 session 💎 (SA/SR = 100%) rolled out of our five-week calculation and was replaced by last Friday's 3/4 session (SA/SR = 75%). We also have GOOGL as losing trade. If you are still LONG or bought the sharp dip, close the position in the coming week - I will continue to update.

We significantly reduced our exposure this week - a very positive development - although we could have secured better exits on some positions, particularly SKHY. However, SKHY also gave back most of its exceptional gains from the previous session today amid heavy profit-taking across the chip / AI infrastructure sector. NVDA closed 4% lower, while the Nasdaq fell nearly 2.9%.

It was a weak session for gold, with markets still seeing little scope for rate cuts and expecting rates to remain elevated for longer. Silver came under even greater pressure as expectations of substantially weaker industrial demand weighed on prices. However, we see substantial upside potential in November.

It was an exceptionally good week for us, particularly considering the sharp market swings. Our approach of closing slightly earlier worked well - we will continue with tighter position / risk management in early November.

Today, we closed all our positions intraday and focused on contrarian trades. As always, very strong NYSE opening trades - although we could have managed the exits better. Our AMD position 📸 missed TP by less than 0.05% - unfortunate. I traded the first AMD position with a slightly undersized position. On one of the worst days in AMD’s history, we made two successful LONG trades - quite extraordinary. There was also AAPL 📸. November has been a very strong month for us in recent years and is generally considered a strong month for risk assets.

Panic selling in precious metals weighed on our portfolio - we are looking for exits in the coming week.
We finished today’s session with two perfect dip buys: AMD#2 📸 and our Dow 📸.

► The DAX initially edged higher in European trading, supported by a sharp decline in oil prices. This followed a report that US President Donald Trump wants to give diplomacy with Iran more time, easing concerns about further disruptions to energy supplies or escalations this week. Brent fell more than 4%, while WTI is currently trading almost 4.5% lower. There were also no further escalations in the Persian Gulf over the weekend.

► A significantly stronger EUR against the USD - also a consequence of lower oil prices - weighed on the DAX. However, lower oil prices themselves provide strong support for the DAX, allowing us to take advantage of this effect.

► Weak German retail sales also weighed: They fell sharply by 2% month over month, compared with expectations of a 0.4% increase. Manufacturing PMIs, however, remain significantly higher and rose strongly, although they merely confirmed the preliminary readings.

► Lower oil prices are also giving global risk sentiment a substantial boost. However, investors remain generally cautious ahead of the US midterm elections and following mixed earnings from major AI companies - although the latter are less significant for Europe.

► We are buying the DAX here in slightly negative territory (-0.1%) - near / slightly below 25800.

🔹 Nvidia (+1.3%) - is recovering alongside other chip stocks and has plenty of room for further gains. Melius reiterated its BUY recommendation for NVDA but lowered its price target from a very optimistic $420 to $315. That would still represent a massive 50% gain over the next twelve months. Bernstein also advises investors to “overweight” NVDA. We stay LONG.


► We see significant upside potential in some of last week's heavily sold chip / AI stocks and choose AVGO. The stock opens around 0.6% higher, following a sharp 5.5% decline on Friday. We also see near-term rebound potential in MU, AMD, GOOGL and even INTC, which opens about 0.5% lower.

► We are waiting for a small dip in AVGO after the opening and can enter near / below 325.00, close to unchanged on the day.

► Oil prices fell sharply following further reports that Iran is continuing to work toward an understanding with the US. Iranian state media reported that President Pezeshkian said Iran would continue trying to resolve the problem through dialogue. The Supreme Leader had also granted greater negotiating authority. Iran's Foreign Minister Araghchi said consultations through mediators Qatar and Pakistan were very intensive and ongoing. The US had already received proposed terms and a plan. However, Araghchi also reiterated that Tehran's conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz were clear and needed to be accepted. If accepted, the Strait would reopen and negotiations could continue. It remains unclear whether Iran is willing to make concessions.

► US President Donald Trump is likely to avoid statements that could push oil prices higher over the coming days, as the midterm elections are his administration's main focus.

► Meanwhile, Anthropic said it generated $33.24 billion in revenue in the nine months ended September 30 - roughly 1,200% (!) more than in the same period last year. The company reported a net loss of $104 billion for that period, compared with a loss of $25.1 billion in the same period of 2025.

► Our DAX position from earlier today hit TP ✅📸 for a very nice profit (I closed slightly higher). We see further upside potential. The DAX is up around 0.4%.

► The JPY emerged significantly weaker following the BoJ decision, as the market saw no hawkish shift. The Japanese central bank maintained its existing outlook for gradual monetary tightening. This makes it clear that the yield gap between Japanese and US bonds will remain wide for longer.

► However, USD/JPY faces headwinds from today's sharp decline in oil prices of more than 7%. Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian said Tehran wants to resolve the problems through dialogue. Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said an agreement with the US is possible if Washington “demonstrates goodwill” and is “truly seeking a peaceful solution.” Araghchi also said mediators are discussing the proposal Iran presented during the UN General Assembly in September.

► A concrete solution to the ongoing war remains barely in sight, and the decline in oil prices has already gone somewhat far. However, even if oil prices recover some of their sharp losses, the JPY generally benefits from lower oil prices.

► US Treasury yields also continue to fall. The US 10-year Treasury yield is back below 4.9%, down 5 basis points.

► At the height of today's oil price decline, both Brent and US crude were down more than 9%. Oil prices are now more than 1.5% above their session lows but still down more than 7.5%. These are very significant price declines, especially considering that rising oil prices were one of the main reasons for weaker risk sentiment in October. WTI and Brent rose 15% and 13%, respectively, in October.

► Both XOM and particularly CVX reported strong earnings - but that was to be expected. Both stocks are also up well over 50% year to date and trade above most investment banks' price targets.

► We saw significant share price declines today, but they were considerably smaller than the decline in energy prices. While oil prices are unlikely to suffer further losses of today's magnitude over the next 24 hours, Trump is also very unlikely to do anything during that period that would dampen optimism about the US and Iran resuming negotiations. Falling oil prices suit him very well.

► Concessions from Iran are also becoming more likely, as its oil exports have been close to zero over the past three months. Regional oil producers such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE and Iraq are now back near their prewar levels. All four increased their exports in October compared with September.

► CVX's fundamentals are strong. Earnings growth was very impressive - naturally driven by extremely high energy prices. The prospect of higher oil production by CVX in Venezuela also supports the stock.

► However, we see a little more downside potential from here in the short term.

AAPL's decline is weighing heavily on both the Nasdaq and the S&P 500. Overall, however, market breadth is not bad: More stocks in the S&P are rising than falling.

► NVDA has also turned negative, and MSFT is trading around 1.4% lower. This means the S&P 500's three most important stocks, including AAPL, are in the red.

► However, significantly lower oil prices provide strong support for risk sentiment, while yields are also falling. The US 10-year Treasury yield fell below 4.9%.

► We are now also seeing profit-taking in the more defensive Dow, but the index remains significantly higher today, up around 0.7%.

► We are buying this sharp dip and see chip stocks back in oversold territory. Concerns about weak earnings from AMD, which reports on Tuesday after the bell, also weighed. Following an initial rebound, AMD suffered further sharp losses. Japanese memory-chip manufacturer Kioxia fell around 16% in Japanese trading today after its revenue and operating profit forecasts for the December quarter disappointed investors.

► An expensive acquisition of Lumentum by Marvell, along with Oracle becoming the next AI infrastructure company seeking to raise additional capital, also intensified existing concerns about overspending.

► Strong purchasing managers' indices in both manufacturing and services also reinforced the rotation out of more speculative AI stocks and into other sectors.

Our 🔼 signal accuracy / success rate improved slightly to 83.6%, as last week's perfect start - a 5/5 session 💎 (SA/SR = 100%) - replaced a strong 6/7 session (SA/SR = 85.7%).

The Nasdaq 100 rose sharply in early trading, supported by significantly lower oil prices. However, renewed concerns about excessive AI infrastructure spending once again dragged chip and AI infrastructure stocks lower.

Margin concerns put further pressure on AAPL in after-hours trading, despite an impressive quarter overall. Market breadth, however, was encouraging today, with approximately 2.22 advancing stocks for every declining stock; 346 S&P 500 constituents finishing higher. We are working with a tighter TP ✅ again in case you hold a Nasdaq LONG after the returned sell-off in AI stocks + AAPL & MSFT.

Investors remain somewhat on the sidelines ahead of Tuesday's midterm election results, although it is already fairly clear that Republicans will suffer heavy losses.

A mixed session - also for us, with highlights such as our excellent NYSE opening trade in AVGO 📸, but also setbacks as another sharp reversal in AI and chip stocks hit our portfolio. Persistent weakness in chip stocks also weighed on broader risk sentiment and BTC. We are tightening our TP ✅ here, although we still see rebound potential supported by lower yields and significantly lower oil prices. We expect BTC to find support near / below 🔼 76500 and make rebound attempts.

We capitalized on the positive sentiment and start to the week and falling oil prices but were unable to profit from the subsequent reversal.

Excellent DAX 📸 trading today, although the Nasdaq 100 and DAX diverged considerably at one point, and we should have closed our second DAX position for an even larger profit.

We are updating our S&P 500 position and tightening the TPs ✅ on our FX positions.

🏆 £652.25 in net trading profit ... in two days.

56-year-old Rhys previously worked as a carpenter, but chronic back problems led him to change jobs. He now works at B&Q, a home improvement retail chain.

On Monday, he followed our Broadcom (AVGO) signal during his break at work. The trade closed while he was helping customers, earning £241.35 in profit before swap fees. He only noticed when he checked his phone later! 😜
